I recently had the pleasure of ordering a custom birthday cake for my 7-year-old niece's party, and Mio's Bakery truly outdid themselves. The theme was Labubu, and the cake was absolutely beautiful—it was the showstopper of the party!
The ordering process was seamless. The gentleman who took my request was incredibly helpful and professional. He proactively asked if I had an inspiration picture (which I did), ensuring he understood the precise vision for the character design. I’m happy to report that he definitely nailed the custom theme.
We ordered the cake, sized for 15-20 people, in the delicious Dominican style with a dulce de leche flavor. We also added two orders of a dozen cupcakes with two different colored icings. The flavor was what truly stood out. Everyone, including my family, kept asking where I got the cake! The combination was perfectly balanced: it was sweet but not too sweet, and the icing on the cake was similarly light and enjoyable.

Mio bakery prepared a beautiful Dominican tier cake for our wedding. They also prepared pre-cut pieces of Dominican cakes and cup cakes to serve at our wedding. Olga was always willing to accommodate our needs and listened to our concerns. She responded promptly to our text and calls. The cake was delivered to our Long Island home for a reasonable price.
I ordered a dominican cake which was beautifully decorated but, the inside was very dried. As an expericed dominican cake eater, I was disappointed with the dryness of the mixed. For sure, not the right amount of butter was added if any perhaps, oil was used instead.

The cake I had ordered was hard mess. I had called to let them know it was not a good experience. Mind you I I never call to complain because if I don’t like it I won’t buy it again🤷🏻♀️. they immediately started saying they put it in the freezer and blamed it on the butter it was a horrible cake the worst experience I had for a cake. I had also bought a candle that didn’t even work to light up.
