I traveled from Chile on vacation and I wanted to eat takoyaki since I can't find it here, I really liked it, the sauce is very good, it combines well with the bonito and the octopus, the only thing is 2 things: the food court in the mall is somewhat difficult to get to xDDD and I would make the takoyaki a little smaller, the rest was very good
How do I explain this ? The savory crepes were unlike anything I have tried before both in texture and in flavor . I had the #4 which was large enough for two people . The sauce combines with fresh cilantro, the “crisp”, egg and sauerkraut came together perfectly albeit in a surprising way.
Pro: the food is pretty cheap. The savory jianbing starts at $5, and a dinner-plate heap of shaved ice is just $6. Con: the taste is lacking. I don’t know if my taste buds just gave up when I got the jianbing or what, but I felt like I was eating a ghost of a jianbing. I had watched the booth workers sprinkle sesame seeds and slather sauce, but the flavor was coming through only every other bite or less.
