This place is really a hole in the wall. Hard to find parking so driving is hard. However if you do happen to get here and able to get a seat or place an order for take out I will need to say that the food is pretty good in general. Now I am Shanghainese and go to Shanghai often and always nice to be able to eat Shanghainese food that actually tastes good. This place makes some pretty authentic foods from Shanghai and being family owned and straight from Shanghai the food has great taste for what I have ordered. The fatty pork belly was really good. I had the small fried pork bun and this was for sure one of the better that I had. Still hard to compare this to Shanghai directly and it doesn't seem that anyone from other then being in Shanghai directly can duplicate it. Still the bun is a lot thinner then other places and very good flavor. I also had the scallion dry noodle and this was really good. Simple dish but just tasty. Had the little and big wonton soup and the soup base was really good and they make some very good wontons. Friendly owner and very nice service. Give them a try for good Shanghainese food!

They have authentic Shanghainese cuisine: noodles are good, spicy chicken wings are must have, and the milk tea with sticky rice is amazing!

I found this restaurant from Hungry Panda that is supposed to have the best pan fried pork buns. Their menu further validated the authenticity, from Shanghai style wontons to noodles. I ordered a small order of pan fried pork buns (6 pieces), a lion's head, a wonton soup and a noodle in scallion oil and topped with Shanghaiese eight delight spicy sauce. Oh dear, how much I have missed the taste from home and it transported me back to an old street in Shanghai. I approve that this is easily the best pan fried pork bun in NYC. The dough is crispy on the bottom, and fluffy and slightly chewy on side and top, it soaks up the umami juice released from the pork filling. The dough here was much thinner compared to other famed Shanghaiese dim sum restaurants and is very close to Da Hu Chun, a famous breakfast joint in Shanghai. The filling was flavorful, bouncy and nicely seasoned. I really appreciate that they use ginger and scallion water to cut down the gameness of the meat instead of having chunks of scallions and gingers mixed in with the filing. This is much more pleasant to eat and the flavor profile is homogenous instead of a sudden overwhelming taste from the spices and herbs. I wish I had ordered a large portion. The noodle dish was well constructed. They use the thin Suzhou style noodles and the home made scallion oil. Anything with scallion oil is a must try, so fragrant and smooth. I really wanted to the like eight delight spicy sauce topping, but it is too spicy for the delicate Shanghaiese taste buds. The traditional Shanghaiese dish is supposed to be savory and sweet, with a just a hint of spicy. This however feels more like a Sichuan spicy grade. The biggest let down is the staff FAILED to read allergies and notes, and dumped a ton of cilantro in my wonton soup, making it practically inedible for me. What a bummer, I was so looking forward to have the hearty wonton soup. Please continue to perfect your recipes to bring the true flavor from Shanghai. And start paying attention to customer's allergy notes!

(Translated by Google) Tomato sirloin rice has no tomatoes or sirloin. Who do you fool with the whole bit of braised beef on the rice? The braised pork has no taste directly,

I can't say enough good things about this place! It's a gem we found in Flushing a few months ago. And we've been ordering takeout from them at least once a month. Their food is simply AMAZING. They serve homey, authentic Chinese food. Honest price, the best quality of food, generous portion and most importantly, their food tastes SO GOOD!! Their sweet and sour spare ribs, fried chicken wings and chongqing chicken are MUST HAVE! You basically can't go wrong ordering anything from them! P.S. they moved to a new address in Flushing a month ago. Here is the new address- 4173A Bowen Street Flushing NY

Very harsh response from customer service via the Hungry Panda app. Do not order from them.

Tiny spot. A few outdoor tables in pandemic times. Outstanding Pan Fried Pork Buns. Best if eaten immediately, so don't take out.
