Either way, the broth is flavorful, noodles are well made, and the beef is tender (not to mention large and plentiful). However, don't pass up the Braised Pork Over Rice. It's definitely one of the best in all of NYC. They sell just the pork by the pound to go, and I buy lots of it. If you are a rice lover and haven't tried this awesome dish yet, don't waste time and go now. I know it's in a supermarket and the decor is not necessarily where you want to eat, but the service is friendly and they deliver it to the second floor where you actually eat overlooking shoppers below. Trust me, the food is worth it, just stare at your food and don't worry about your surroundings.

This is inside a Minnie food court on Main Street right next to the small ATM chase by the LIRR. Beef noodle soup is pretty on point, wish the meat was a bit softer for my liking. Definitely better than a lot of the other beef noodle soup place in flushing. Next time I am going to try the tomato beef noodle soup, probably take it home. It's not the cleanest place and I can't enjoy it comfortably.

The only thing I can think of as I took a sip of the flavorful soup was "WOW!!!" The taste instantly took me back to the beef noodle shops near Taipei main train station. The portions here are far bigger than what you'd find in Taiwan so prepare to either share one or bring an empty stomach. The beef shank pieces are cooked to perfection and is only a few steps away from melting in your mouth like an A5 wagyu but is far more rewarding than a wagyu as you chew through the tender meat. The soup is not too spicy nor salty, a problem with many Lanzhou beef noodle places.

You wouldn't imagine a little shop in a Chinese supermarket can be any good! Oh, yes, their Taiwanese beef noodle soup is pretty darn good. I was born and raised in Taiwan and grew up with all kinds of authentic Taiwanese noodle soup so I know the good, the bad or the blah! I also cook beef noodle soup myself and always thought that no beef noodle soup in NYC/Queens/Flushing is as good as mine. Well, I stop cooking on my own because of this little shop - theirs is as good as mine. The soup is full of flavor, but not salty or oily. The beef chunks (yes, chunks, at least 4 - 5 big pieces in a bowl, not slices) are tender and tasty and the noodle is cooked just right. There are two flavors, one is original (Sichuan) and the other one is tomato. I love them both. Do not miss their hot peppercorn oil - smell it even if you don't like spicy food. It is a wonderful plus. I introduced this shop to some of my Taiwanese friends and everyone live it. The best part is, if you don't have time or not in the mood to eat in the supermarket (there is seating area), you can buy the frozen one. It's cheaper ($8.5 a plastic container) and all you have to do at home is cook some noodle, vegetable and add chopped scallion and in 5 minutes you have a bowl of perfect Taiwanese beef noodle soup. It goes well with steamed rice as well. I understand they also serve Taiwanese traditional braised port over rice. I haven't tried it so cannot comment. I am totally sold!

My kids, Owen and Norman, are the pickiest children ever. Sat down ordered the tomato beef noodles soup and they absolutely loved it. Affordable and delicious, will definitely be back!

A small stall inside the New Age Market. The one dish to get on their menu. Authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup at their best. Spicy or not. Very tasty. The flavor is so good. Menu: spicy or non-spicy. Both are identical except soup base. Spicy soup is has Sichuan spices, and the other, tomato based. Noodles had a nice firm bite to them. A generous portion of Beef (flank?) was nicely marinated and flavorful. A few pieces of veggies, shanghai boy choy rounded out the whole meal. Soup had a nice hardy flavor. It's Chinese name is, "Taipei Traditional Beef Noodles". If you like extra spicy, ask for extra chili oil. Or buy a bottle of this homemade spicy goodness for $5. Homemade easily beats out store bottle brands. Seating. There is seating upstairs on the mezzanine area, which overlooks the supermarket. The market has it's own parking lot out front. Atmosphere. Not great. It's in a supermarket that's a bit messy in appearance. Then there are the live fish tanks that smell a bit fishy. I usually do takeout. Bake Culture bakery is right next door so you can also grab some dessert.

I always have at least one quart of this awesome beef soup in my freezer. Buy it frozen and add whatever noodles you want in it. Any noodles will taste good with their soup. The beef is so tender and the soup is so tasty, don't forget their hot sauce! Their hot chili oil is the BEST!

The broth is so rich, addictive, and full of flavor! Skip the Signature Beef Noodles. Just go for the tomatoes version!! Afterwards cool off with shaved ice from Crystal Ice next door. After the feeding frenzy head to the back of the arcade to pick up some handmade frozen dumplings. UPDATE: This location seems to have closed but their other location inside New Age Market on Northern Blvd is open. Bake Culture is also inside, so you can treat yourself to some Taiwanese pastries after noodles!

I got tomato beef noodle today $9.75 Lots of noodles, with 5 big pieces beef chunk. The beef was cooked very tender and juicy, very delicious. The tomato soup base was very thick. Taste really good, and you can really taste the sweetness from tomato. Everything taste really good, but I felt if they can have more soup will be better, because I already finished my soup but still got some noodle left
