I’m a regular customer there, always bought their foods at least once a week. But recently I just realized they charge credit card fee, And they don’t even mention it before. Is this new policy ?

The atmosphere was calming, and the food was savory, accompanied by great drinks.

Food is always good here but I heard they got rid of the snowing cheese fries and I CANNOT GIVE THEM 5 STARS ANYMORE. Snowing cheese fries were my main reason to come here ):

Just had their rose tteokbokki and boneless chicken — sooo good 😋🔥. Even though it’s a chicken spot, the sides are a must. The chicken is super crispy, not greasy at all, and honestly this place is a 10/10 Korean fried chicken experience.

Ever since the manager changed, the quality of the pickled radish wasn’t very good for a while. About a month ago, I noticed the radish had improved, but I was really disappointed with the chicken. The portion of boneless chicken was drastically smaller than before. It didn’t feel like fried chicken anymore—it was more like 닭강정.

It was quiet since it was a weekday, so we got a table right away. They had a new menu item, so we ordered the Mala Pork Belly with Bean Sprouts and a whole fried chicken. The food came out fast and everything was super fresh. The chicken was extra crispy on the outside and really juicy inside. They even gave us a little side salad which was a nice touch. The mala pork belly had a strong flavor and a generous portion. The new décor also made the place feel really nice. Definitely recommend!

I called ahead of time to confirm if they are still offering the free fried chicken for birthdays. The girl said yes but only for dine in. When I went in I asked if it’s okay I would like to dine in. She asked are you sure? I said yes. She then said well it’s only original fried chicken….no other option. I said okay. She then continued well you don’t get any flavors or seasonings and you can’t take leftovers and you need to finish here. I was confused but said okay. She then proceeded to tell me that I will either need to tip her ahead of sitting down or spend minimum $30. I asked her why, and why she failed to mention this on the phone. She said “well we need to create our own policies cause people eat for free and don’t tip us and we need tips. So you can only dine in if you tip.” Mind you I didn’t even sit yet, we are speaking over the bar. She asked again (for the 7th time) “so do you still wanna dine?” I was so baffled I just left.

I love pelicana, the food is good, the drinks are decent. I only go to the forest hills location because their service and staff are amazing as well. This flushing location servers and service is absolutely ridiculous.

We ordered pick up and the food was still hot when we got there. This was our go to comfort chicken around northern. The staff were nice and prompt with the order. I would say that they changed most of their recipe and they increased prices. The radish was unevenly cut and we even had the end part of the radish that was not good to eat. The calamari was not the same as before anymore, it was overcooked because the crunchy texture was too hard to swallow. Overall, they still use the same seasonings for the chicken it’s just the way they cook it and serve to the customers are different now. I hope they do something about it so the loyal customers would love to go back.

We came here for my daughter’s birthday because she saw the the free chicken posted up in front, “free chicken on your birthday “. I asked for it and was told it’s only on Wednesdays, which clearly wasn’t on the ad. I wish they had the diy ramen even if you’re not ordering soju or beer. These are my only complaints.

Pelicana is a hidden gem. The fried chicken is awesome, the blugogi over rice is amazing and filling. Don’t sleep on the lemonades! The mango and the blue lime lemonade are the best ones in my opinion. Great spot to go to with friends.

Update: Chinese management? Understood all poor quality service now. Never visit this location anymore.

I was the first customer of the day and ordered the Crispy Spicy Whole Chicken. Unfortunately, what I received was not spicy and, more concerningly, it was undercooked. When I bit into the drumstick, I could taste raw chicken and even saw blood — clearly not safe to eat.

I quietly and politely asked the staff if they could cook the chicken again. Instead of acknowledging the issue, both the kitchen staff and server dismissed my concern, telling me, “This is regular. Chicken meat is pink. Blood just came out from the vein. What do you want?” It was surprising and disappointing to be told that serving undercooked chicken was normal practice.

They took the chicken back, and just a few minutes later, returned it — but one piece, the drumstick I had bitten into, was missing. There was no sign that it had been properly recooked, nor any apology or explanation. I waited a bit, thinking they might bring a replacement, but they never did.

I’ve been a fan of Pelicana for a long time, but this experience was unacceptable. The food was poorly prepared, and the customer service was dismissive at best. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
