We ordered pick up and the food was still hot when we got there. This was our go to comfort chicken around northern. The staff were nice and prompt with the order. I would say that they changed most of their recipe and they increased prices. The radish was unevenly cut and we even had the end part of the radish that was not good to eat. The calamari was not the same as before anymore, it was overcooked because the crunchy texture was too hard to swallow. Overall, they still use the same seasonings for the chicken it’s just the way they cook it and serve to the customers are different now. I hope they do something about it so the loyal customers would love to go back.

We came here for my daughter’s birthday because she saw the the free chicken posted up in front, “free chicken on your birthday “. I asked for it and was told it’s only on Wednesdays, which clearly wasn’t on the ad. I wish they had the diy ramen even if you’re not ordering soju or beer. These are my only complaints.
Pelicana is a hidden gem. The fried chicken is awesome, the blugogi over rice is amazing and filling. Don’t sleep on the lemonades! The mango and the blue lime lemonade are the best ones in my opinion. Great spot to go to with friends.

Update: Chinese management? Understood all poor quality service now. Never visit this location anymore.
I was the first customer of the day and ordered the Crispy Spicy Whole Chicken. Unfortunately, what I received was not spicy and, more concerningly, it was undercooked. When I bit into the drumstick, I could taste raw chicken and even saw blood — clearly not safe to eat.
I quietly and politely asked the staff if they could cook the chicken again. Instead of acknowledging the issue, both the kitchen staff and server dismissed my concern, telling me, “This is regular. Chicken meat is pink. Blood just came out from the vein. What do you want?” It was surprising and disappointing to be told that serving undercooked chicken was normal practice.
They took the chicken back, and just a few minutes later, returned it — but one piece, the drumstick I had bitten into, was missing. There was no sign that it had been properly recooked, nor any apology or explanation. I waited a bit, thinking they might bring a replacement, but they never did.
I’ve been a fan of Pelicana for a long time, but this experience was unacceptable. The food was poorly prepared, and the customer service was dismissive at best. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

I recently visited Pelicana Chicken in Flushing, and I have to say service was friendly and attentive, and the food? Absolutely incredible.
We ordered the soy garlic chicken, calamari, and budae stew—and every dish was a hit. The soy garlic chicken was some of the best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. The calamari was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, while the budae stew was packed with hearty ingredients like ramen, sausage, tofu, and kimchi. It had just the right level of spice and richness.
What really stood out was how much care went into both the food and the overall service. I’m already looking forward to going back!
The food was so delicious, we completely forgot to take pictures until we had already dug in—always a good sign!

I really love the crispy honey soy garlic and honey butter chicken wings! Wings were super crispy and the meat is very moist and tender. It's our favorite wings place now! Kids loved the wings too.

Is this Normal?

Do not come to this place, PLEASE. My chicken was raw and the manager did not seem to care so much about it, and saying it was normal. Look, there are thousands of other chicken places or fast food restaurants that you can choose from, but unless you are desperate, do not choose this place for the sake of your tummy.

First, I rarely write any bad reviews as I usually just move on. However, I will just say this. If you want to get stomachache and worst customer service from them and them raising their voices and arguing back saying the chickens that are red are completely normal, then go ahead. And radish, oh please. It was dry as hell and it looks like someone didn’t want to work at all. The manager told me to send a pictures so I did, and he said he looks fine. And stated he will give me free french fries next time I come in as their “patriot.” $34 chicken for $10+ french fries?? Wow. Might as well cook it myself.
