Great little Colombian bakery. Buñuelos were my favorite: slightly crunchy exterior and soft, moist middle. Seems like they do a lot of business, so product turns over quickly and everything is super fresh. Spent around $23 on 7-8 breads and pastries. We will definitely come back next time we’re in Queens.
Absolutely amazing bakery! It’s family owned and everyone inside is always so kind. To order you do have to speak Spanish but even without you can always get by. The owners make everything by hand and the food is absolutely delicious. Ever since being introduced to this bakery I dream about it. Just ok. Maybe I came on an off day. The empanada, even after coming home and reheating it in the oven, never got crisp. It somehow stayed hard, stale, and chewy all at the same time. The bunuelo was missing the sweet smell of butterfat due to a lack of cheese. It was quite dry and bready. The arepa de choclo—fine. Heated up in the microwave. I get why this place was empty on a Saturday afternoon when Pecoshitas was busy. I do wish the owners success and hope they can improve.
