Just ok. Maybe I came on an off day. The empanada, even after coming home and reheating it in the oven, never got crisp. It somehow stayed hard, stale, and chewy all at the same time. The bunuelo was missing the sweet smell of butterfat due to a lack of cheese. It was quite dry and bready. The arepa de choclo—fine. Heated up in the microwave. I get why this place was empty on a Saturday afternoon when Pecoshitas was busy. I do wish the owners success and hope they can improve.
Places like this are what make New York the best city in the world. A family-run institution for like half a century at this point. We've been going here practically every day for years and it never gets old.

This cozy bakery in Woodside, conveniently located near the train station, offers a delightful selection of Spanish pastries at great prices. It's a popular spot, especially in the mornings, and for good reason--their empanadas and pappas rellenas are exceptional.
