This is a classic korean restaurant with good banchan and decent food at an average price.I had kbbq (bulgogi + marinated pork) here recently, it's fine. Nothing to sing amazing or terrible things about. For kbbq you get steamed egg, lettuce and about 8 different banchans. As a banchan lover, they have variation, it changes often and is fresh.Their table d'hote / mains are my favorite. I usually come here for a stew or grilled fish. Banchan for just mains are on par with kbbq minus the sauces, steam egg, lettuce and herbs that accompany it.This is a place I go back for having a good meal where I am not shelling a ton of money. This place is classic. If I want Korean and I'm in downtown flushing...I come here. Simon is my "go to" when I'm there. He speaks English and always gets everything out quick. Food is always great. The staff here are friendly and super helpful

Overall, the interior was old and the food was the worst I've had in the US.One side of the haejangguk with seonji is burnt black and cannot be eaten. The side dishes weren't bad, but the main dish wasn't that great so the side dishes tasted better.

I came with 3 people. We ordered a combo (2-3) meal but couldn’t finish it all. THATS HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS. The kind lady who helped cooked the food couldn’t speak complete english but me and my friends weren’t opposed to trying to meet her half way and even using some korean (or attempting). The rice and side dishes were so good. I didnt enough the chicken fully but the beef & pork was top notch. Everything was seasoned to the bone & my favorite sauce had to be the chili sauce. The tofu soup was good & fishy, perfect for the cold weather of NY and if you are sick. Our budget was $200 & our total was around $150. THE ISSUE WAS: We had to pay a 30+ dollar tip which was 18%… We didnt know that prior but we were lucky to have some left over money. It was deserved but unexpected. I will definitely be coming back & recommending!

I really don’t want to give it even one star. I packed a takeaway seafood pancake. When I opened it, I saw that there were no side dishes, so I asked the front desk. As a result, the old lady at the front desk said that sometimes they would be given and sometimes not. Is this a joke? It's normal for Korean stores to deliver side dishes, but it depends on your mood when you go to them. What kind of service attitude is this? Very bad and will never go there again. If the economy is like this and we still have this kind of service attitude, we are close to going bankrupt.

This is best Korean BBQ food I have tried so far between Queens and Manhattan. The restaurant itself is pretty no frills when it comes to the atmosphere, so it's really all about the food and flavor. If you are looking for an authentic menu with some amazing food, your taste buds will not be disappointed.

This is my second time visiting San Soo Kap San. The first time we were a group of 7/8 people and since someone else treated me I didn’t know what exactly to e ordered but my money is on Combo C. This time it as just me and a friend and we ordered Fried Dumplings, Pork Belly bbq for one and egg fried rice with beef. The egg fried rice was my favorite. Since they only bbq pork belly on the table only when it more than one order, they bbqd the meat in kitchen. I personally like it less cooked and on the medium rare side. This one was Medium. Sides and sauces served with it were good. The Fried Dumplings were juicy and the skin crunchy. Overall a good experience and I am definitely going back for fried rice.
