I really love the affordability that this place offers as well as the good eats! I really am I big fan of this cart. I would opt for less sauce as it overtake the whole meal, but I really enjoyed it either way!

It's a good food cart near my college. I love the lamb dishes and it's a good place to get a lunch/dinner to go. Would recommend!

Time and time again, Shah’s Halal cart has been my go to halal cart in all of NY. I’ve tried halal carts from LES, UES, UWS, Flat Iron, Financial District, 53rd and 6th, Astoria, Bayside, etc, and I still come back to Shah’s. I moved to Florida 6 years ago and when I come back to visit family, you bet I’m paying a visit to Shah’s.

Only cart that still include FREE soda for chicken over rice for $7. Pita bread is also free when you order the rice. Other carts are more expensive even without the soda.

Nice friendly guy and the foods pretty good and pretty cheap. What more to ask? Combo was only 7 bucks with a free drink

The guy working is very nice and polite. I'll definitely buy from him again. The food is very delicious. Although it got cold when I got home (not his fault), I just heated it up and it was 11/10

Im a bit sad that the price of a gyro is now $6 instead of $5 but it's still a pretty good deal. Always filling, delicious, portable, and easy to eat
TLDR: Rating is solely for the food. Food was good. The order you placed might not be the order you get. I tried the lamb platter with pita and veggies (lettuce). Comes with a soda for $7. It was pretty good and fulfilled my halal craving. Although, I got white sauce and BBQ sauce and I think there was a little too much white sauce in mine. But overall the taste was good. My only complaint was that the worker sort of forgot my whole order lol. I said "combo platter, with pita bread, white sauce and bbq sauce". He told me to wait in my car as it was raining. I waited for about 10-15 min in my car and came out for my order only to find out that he didn't really remember my order. As he was done cooking the meat, I asked for pita again. He gave me one of "o_O" looks like I should've told him earlier cause now he has to toast it, but I already did tell him earlier, sigh. He forgot the sauce I wanted, which is no big deal since asking to double check is ok. I got my order, brought it home, opened the bag, but "combo" (chicken and lamb) that I ordered was just lamb. (And I got two orders of combo, both ended up being just lamb). So, maybe he was just having a bad day idk.

Nasty a few times I walked past this truck once I see this man picking his nose seems he never wears gloves either but after seeing him coughing and actually SPIT out the window when no one was around I knew I’d much rather continue to eat at school. Stay safe DONT EVER eat at this place.

As far as food truck food goes, they give you your money's worth here. It's either $5 for a gyro or $6 for a platter-- a drink is included.
