General update, not a true food review. Location closes at 8:45, you can order for takeout until 9/9:15. Also, don't reserve a table through open table, apparently this location doesn't receive notifs from the app.

I've been several times at this spot since I live in the same neighborhood, from my several visits, I can say for sure, If you are craving seafood it's a good spot, however I would totally skip the sandwiches and the fried lobster, not worth the price. Decent place for boiled seafood, highly suggest the house sauce.. their butter and garlic is very plain, so if you are a fan of spices go definitely for their house sauce. The servers are very friendly and always accommodating.

The flushing location is definitely a no no… We were in queens and decided to stop at this location, my son and I ordered the seafood boil which was decent now the big problem, my daughter ordered a lobster roll , they served her the most pathetic lobster roll l’ve ever seen, they should call it a mayonnaise sandwich, it was basically mayonnaise with little pieces of lobster in it, the bun wasn't even TOASTED, the lobster roll is supposed to be TOASTED bread with big chunks of lobster … Mind you, I had lobster rolls at their Manhattan locations, which were very different. It was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review about it, 3 stars, not because of the food but because the servers were very nice. If you go to this location , I advise you to stay away from the lobster roll.

I been to this place a few times but had to give it 1 star…the sauce definitely changed which was very salty and oily. The food took forever to come out and didn’t even taste fresh. The garlic noodles was served on a tray that was swimming in oil. I feel very sick for the amount of oil that was consumed for one sitting. The waitress was okay but seemed overwhelmed due to short staffing. We requested to watch Basketball and the waitress literally said I’m sorry and asked if we wanted to change it ourselves with the dirty remote.

Not fresh and gave entirely wrong order, despite being so expensive. Clam chowder they put a lot of sausage in there. Not authentic and definitely cheaply cuts corners. Such a disappointment.

We went last night for dinner the service sucked there was only 1 server for 10 tables an it took us 25 min to get our to order we ordered a drink that was horrible it was too sweet no alcohol for 36dollars then it took us 45 min to get out food we had to call the server over which was the owner to find out what going on with our food so he gets his food which was extra salty then I got my food with no utensils to eat with I just sit there and waited and then after a while the owner bought me a plastic floor and said oh I'm sorry we don't have any more utensils that was a red flag right there and then also when I get my food I get a snow crabs and shrimp and it was supposed to be a pound of shrimp I get 10 shrimp and a cluster of snow crabs that was dried out over salty I just got disgusted he had us in the corner he had people talking over our food so that disgusted me so I left so the only going to say please don't give us a bad reading this is Valentine's Day that's no excuse for bad service and bad food I will never return there again and then the top it off with the only didn't even give us a discount on our meal for the horrible service and the horrible food never go there and Williamsburg ever again I went to numerous shaking crabs and Broadway that was excellent but shaking crab and Williamsburg is not the move

I got a crab and shrimp platter from here a couple weeks ago and it was delicious. The price wasn't bad at all considering it fed 4 people.
Every visit to Shaking Crab is great! Good and service are excellent. I've been about 3 times before the pandemic and about 3 times during. They are also great for takeout! Love the fried catfish, Cajun fries and of course the boils!

I told myself to not eat here ever again, but I was so hungry during work I ordered this for dinner and forgot why I stayed away from this place. I was excited to have a seafood dinner. My order was the seafood galore with garlic butter and a side of envie sauce. The sauces didn't have much flavor to it, just straight garlic. Did someone drop a whole jar of garlic in this? Not sure how the other sauces compare but from my past experience and this one, it just doesn't hit. I received my order through ubereats; no issues there. The seafood is fresh indeed but the sauces just lack in flavor compared to other seafood boils I've visited.
