Good Pakistani restaurant for halal food. Lots of taxi drivers and LGA airport workers come here for a quick bite and they also have parking on the side for cabbies (3-4 spots) you can also pray here, they provide prayer mats. Food is decent and service is quick.

The food is super super amazing. I forgot to take pics but the food was brilliant. We were given ample cutlery. We got the channa masala which was super authentic in terms of Pakistani taste. It just tasted like Lahori channay. We also got chicken tikka (7 pieces for $6) which was also amazing. The roti was also the best. Overall, the place is the best for food.
If there is any improvement, it’ll be that the environment and drapes should be changed to bring in natural light a little bit.
Overall for food, it is 10/10

Most reliable place no problem with the parking is good for the lunch, especially for the Uber and Lyft drivers mosque is very close to that location
I was staying nearby so I could catch an early morning flight, and a local recommended Star Light Grill to me.I'm incredibly glad they did. The server was friendly. The interior is unpretentious and utilitarian. But the food? The food is amazing. I had a spiced chicken dish with naan. The food was hot and fresh, the sauce was spicy and had a remarkable depth of flavors, and the meat was tender, juicy, and free from gristle.Don't be deceived by the exterior. This delightful hole-in-the-wall eatery packs a tremendous punch at a reasonable price.

It's OK if you can't find a Halaal place to eat. It's a typical pakistani restaurant where normally you will find singles having their meals.

Guys at the counter are very hardworking and helpful(specially Mr. Ahsan). Their PARATHA and CHANNAY are so delicious. Very quick service. Pricing is so reasonable as compared to other restaurants! Parking is mostly available onsite otherwise street parking is always easily available. I always love going there!!

Since the business partners separated the main chef left food is terrible plus service is also no goodAbove one was written 4 years ago .I did go few times a year but situation is the sameFood is just acceptable not bad not excellent .Sunday I visited 663 Elmont Rd BBQ Night at Elmont Rd next to Mohamdi Masjid . Tried their Chana /Choolay chickpea and chicken achari super amazing specially chana and Nan .Roti & Nan were not only baked great but their weight was good enough. So today I visited this place to compare the difference between Jackson heights restaurants and long island ones (Remember not all long island Desi restaurants are good .even the Hicksville branch of BBQ Nite did not stand for my standard ) Here at starlight rest room was again dirty .( The same guy who works in kitchen clean restroom .) Ordered two Nan ($3 )and two shami kabobs ($4) .At the counter a new familiar face with beared but young took the order . I told him he looks like the young fellow who has been working here for many years he said I am his brother just came from Pakistan .Ok Good luck welcome to the Land of apportunities . He served me the food I ordered .Nan were all burnt at the back ( may be the brick mud oven was not hot enough) . Two shami kabobs were not hot enough .salad with onion & lettuce was fresh . .He didn't put water jug and green Chile Yogurt sauce bottle which were sitting in cooler with sodas .A customer get them helping himself .I told this new alien that Nan is all burnt half of it I have to peel and throw it in garbage .he did not respond. Then another guy grab water and chilli yogurt sauce bottle from cooler . I asked that counter guy before your brother has a very nice professional food service .He always put water jug sauce bottle salad napkins spoon fork before he served the main Manu but you seems very careless. He started making argument .I said dear it's not your fault you just came into this country . remember customer is always right never argue customer .you will learn with time don't worry it's ok .His brother who is serving this place since long time came and took over counter advising some thing . Bottom line hygiene has to be fix first then service.

I’ve only had takeout from here. Food is tasty and fairly priced. They do a good job of packaging with lots of Saran Wrap to prevent spillage. Food is always hot and ready for pickup on time. I recommend the chicken Karahi. Naan is big and fresh. Food is on the greasy side but I just pour out the oil from the top before eating.

If you want true authentic Pakistani cuisine, you should try it. Don’t judge book by it’s cover
