I’m not going back there again. During lunch, those young servers didn’t smile at all and seemed really impatient. I asked one of them for some vinegar, and they told me they didn’t have any. A restaurant with no vinegar lol

I am a mindful eater..but the server is rushing and cooking all meat at one time and she left. Not acceptable 👎👎👎

this is my favorite restaurant on the planet. the brisket is amazing. if I could eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life it would be this one. I also have a gluten allergy and love that they clearly label what the gluten free options are on the menu.

Came here as a party of two got the dinner option. The meat was absolutely amazing, juicy and tasty. Was a big fan of the pork belly options. The staff was friendly and attentive, and your stools double as a place to put your coat to avoid it getting too stinky. Will be going back many a time!
The food is always amazing. The service is quick and efficient. I only put 4 stars for service because I wish the waiters were a little warmer with their presence. Overall my experience here is always leaving with a full stomach.

Restaurantji Recommends
Called the restaurant at 11:50 cause it said 2 am (google maps) and I wanted to see the wait for a table for 2. Lady on the phone was very nice, “no wait rn”. I told her I’ll be right there. Walked 25 min to the spot after confirming with the lady from the restaurant. Arrived @ 12:20 am (an hour and 40 min until closing). The hostess (short, glasses, short pony tail/bun) was dismissive and passive aggressive, and in the most condescending tone “SO THESE PEOPLE [points to a group waiting on the side] ARE OUR LAST TABLE MMMKAYYY SO WE CANT SEE YOU TONIGHT OKAYYYY BUT SEE YOU NEXT TIME” and gestures us out. Mind you, I wasn’t told on the phone there was a last call, the place closes at 2 am and it’s 12:20 am, it was the only place open late enough to actually have time to eat (other places close at 1 am and we’re not THOSE kinds of people to come that close to closing). We ended up taking public transport home to a closer area in queens before taking a cab home (it was cheaper this way). We both work till 12 and happened to both be able to get off early enough to make it in time, OR so we though
TLDR; I would not recommend going to this restaurant if I have to be cautious of a server exhibiting unpleasant behavior.
Going to preface this post by saying the food was good and I had recommended my family to come here because of the good experience I had during a previous visit to this Cast Iron Pot location.
I was on the fence about writing this review, but the service was subpar; and as a person who used to work in the service industry and respects service workers, I was quite disappointed and also hurt by the server’s behavior.
Our server was a young Korean woman who had an expressionless face. She didn’t really introduce herself or explain how the ordering system works, and she acted almost irritated/flat when we made requests/orders. She also cooked at a pace that felt like we were rushing, so it didn’t feel as enjoyable and I honestly would have preferred if we cooked the food ourselves at our own pace. She never communicated or checked in with us about pacing and it seemed like she wanted to get it over with.
What really upset me was how she acted behind our backs. She played rock paper scissors with another server to leave us and pass our table off to him and in doing so, she also forgot the orders we put in before she left to go to another part of the restaurant.
What have we done for you to want to pass our table off to someone else :(
We also sat awkwardly waiting, not sure if she put in our order and also not sure where she went until it was clear she’s not coming back and had another server come to assist us. The other server who took over was kind and at least apologetic about our forgotten order, so he didn’t do anything wrong. The lack of communication was just not great.
But the most upsetting thing was that she made a snide remark to her coworker in Korean as we were leaving the restaurant.
She said something along the lines of she/they ate too much (“그녀는/그들은 너무 많이 먹었어“). I just find it offensive and weird you would say that because of course we would eat a lot…this is an All You Can Eat BBQ restaurant. If I wasn’t planning on eating a lot I would not go to an AYCE establishment. Probably would not come back here again…

I went to the location in Queens and it was such a great experience. Our server by the name of Hoon was SO FUN and made my brother’s birthday experience by far memorable! The food is incredible and I can’t wait to go back!!!
