My biggest regret is not reviewing/rating this place before they sadly closed. The food here was absolutely spectacular and the service was always friendly and kind. The absolute best corn bread I've ever had, period, but frankly everything they made was incredible. Albert is a great guy, both in culinary expertise and his love of the community. Losing this place is a loss to all of Whitestone and I wish him and the rest of the Tropical Revival Family all the best in their future endeavors.

Very chill and nice owner. First time coming and he gave me a big plate with a little of everything for $12. Favorite things on the plate I had was the j*** chicken, curry ox tail and spinach rice. Will pass on the shrimp and noodles next time. Everything had good flavor though and you definitely need a drink to chase down everything. Caribbean music is on point. Not very crowded and most people seem to do takeout. Place would be good for small group gatherings but large parties of people would probably do better elsewhere. Best spot of lunch of you are in the neighborhood and looking for something different from a typical slice of pizza, greek pitas or chinese fast food. Will come back again for affordable and quick lunch to take away.

Love the food but their hours seem to fluctuate. Their hours arent posted on site. On the web it says they are open Monday but they aren't. They run out of popular product. As a pretty regular customer I often leave disappointed but never by the food

Hands down amazing! Came across this hidden gem a few weeks back and when it comes to Caribbean food this is definitely a must try. Not only was the food amazing but the staff was so helpful and nice. We were not to sure what we wanted so he let us taste all the meats he had available. A++ on the food and service at this amazing business!

Been twice for take out and have not been disappointed. The chef is nice about letting you sample if the level of spice is a concern for the customer. Frankly, I love the spice and think more local places would be wise to embrace it as this cuisine does. The serving size is generous for the price. You just can't go wrong here.

Tropical Revival is probably one of the best Caribbean places that I've been to in a while. Albert, the owner, was extremely friendly and even offered me to let me try some of every meat that was available. I went for the oxtail and curry goat; the portions were extremely generous and Albert even threw in an extra order of stewed pork. I'll definitely be coming back here the next time I'm craving Caribbean food.

After 3 tries this place was actually open. I wish it had just been closed again. Rock hard oxtail, half cooked goat, and overcooked mushy rice. I really wanted this place to be great but it was just a waste of time and money.

Haven't had a bad thing here. I have used them 2x to cater & everyone was OBSESSED with the food. The owner is so accommodating & sweet and doesn't skimp on the amount of food he provides. I highly recommend this place

I grew up by in Jamaica, Queens and was so excited that there is finally a West Indian / Caribbean place in Whitestone! We had the curry goat and stew chicken last night and went back for the oxtail today! (which apparently sells out before dinner everyday!) Everything tasted amazing. Generous portions and great serivce. Even got to meet Albert, the owner. Such a humble and great guy! Tropical Revival is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!
