Martha's Country Bakery

It’s just a small bakery that I went to near Chipotle’s in Queens on Austin Street right near 70th Rd. it’s expensive but it’s a pure sugar delight. A piece of chocolate mousse cake was very good, a little expensive.. at first it’s not asking about prices, it asks about the food ,service and atmosphere. Which all three were good points. Everyone was very kind and professional. I guess for one person it would be about $10-$20 for a pastry and some sort of beverage. I guess that’s not even highly expensive. That whole area is a shopping area after all ,one store after the other.

Bad customer support I ordered 2 slice of different cake 🍰 for my kids my kids chose 1 rainbow 🌈 and 1 something walnut slice and I payed there when I open box at home they give me a different chease cake 🍰 and 1 slice my kids sad with me this is bad customer support.

Large selection.

This place alway pack, especially on weekends. If you are planning to go with children please don’t. This is full of people and always in noice. For kids not maybe suitable but the cake and coffees are really good and verity of choice to select. I have been there many time and will go there again.

This was the first ever I have tasted any cake of Martha’s Country Bakery. The New York Cheesecake was nice but I wis it had a firmer texture. 2024.11.04

Excellent service, delicious desserts & such a beautiful ambiance. I enjoy coming here with friends & family, it feels so cozy & warm inside. My go to is the spinach pie, pumpkin pie, Oreo cheesecake & red velvet cheese cake 😋

Normally, I love Martha's, but the customer service was not the best in my recent interraction over the phone. I've been going here for years, and it's usually always great; the service, the cakes, the ambiance, etc. Recently, I placed an order online for two cakes and two coffees totaling over $59 dollars for delivery. The order was still in the 'Preparing Order' phase when I made the call to confirm one of their sweeteners were dairy free, as my wife has an allergy. Without a driver there to pick it up yet, they would not make the accommodation of changing the drink before the driver arrived - even after offering to pay the difference. I understand the matter of wasting product, but to offer to pay the difference just so my wife can actually drink the beverage I paid for seems reasonable, especially if there isn't even a driver assigned to the order yet. They told me there was nothing I could do. I recommend going in person, but any mistakes made through delivery clearly won't be accommodated.

Martha's Country Bakery is a must try for anyone with a sweet tooth! We popped in on a Saturday evening and while there was a bit of a wait, it was definitely worth it. Their vast selection of desserts and pastries is impressive, and we especially loved the dark hot chocolate and the cake we tried (that dark hot chocolate was incredible!). This is the kind of place that will keep you coming back for more. I know I'll be a regular!

I’m just writing this review because people have the right to be aware of what to expect when ordering/ viewing desserts online. I placed an order of a strawberry short cake EXPECTING to receive the one that’s viewed on the official website and instead I receive a completely different looking cake. This is completely false advertisement and if this is the case, it should’ve been mentioned to me over the phone when I placed this order with the staff. I think the pictures can speak for itself here.

A holiday season doesn’t pass where my family can’t resist goods from this location!
