One evening, I arrived at this restaurant around 8:47 PM. At that time, the restaurant was still open. There was no one at the front counter, so I waited. Then a gentleman came over, and I asked for a menu to order a take-out.He gave me the menu, and then went somewhere else. I was reading the menu by the front counter. In about a minute, when the same gentleman came back, he told me "Hurry up, we are closing".Then, I asked that gentleman what time they close. The gentleman replied "9 o'clock (at night)". At that time, my watched read 8:49. Then, I placed an order of vegetable noodle. It cost about 16 dollars including sales tax.I got my order at 8:59 PM. At that time, there was still a couple who were dining at the restaurant. I did not hear the gentleman telling the couple to hurry up.When I got home, and opened the noodle container, I found that I only had half of the amout of noodle and ingridents that I had gotton from a different Chinese noodle restaurant in Brooklyn. The noodle in that Chinese noodle restaurant in Brooklyn was less expensive and taste much better than this restaurant's.The food was so-so. I think I like the Chinese instant noodle that I had gotten from Chinese grocery stores better than this $15 noodle that I got from this restaurant. In general, in terms of quality, flavor, pricing, and service, I don't think it's worth eating at this restaurant. One advantage is that you can eat Chinese food in Forest Hills instead of China towns. That's all.

We had a wonderful lunch here. We got the pork soup dumpling, dumpling in chili sauce, scallion pancake, and taro puffs for dessert. All of it was delicious! The dumplings were very flavorful. The scallion pancake was a perfect combination of crispy and crunchy. And the taro buns were a great flakey texture. Highly recommend.

delicious food and fast service! My favorite was the steamed whole fish
This is looks like your typical neighborhood Chinese food place from the outside but it's so much more than that. It looks nice inside and has a good amount of seating. The service was very good, they were very knowledgeable about items in each dish. We ordered the tofu pudding as an appetizer, very unique flavor!! Very savory and delicious! Also ordered the vegetable noodle mushroom soup, along with the scallion noodle. Food was very good at a great value.

You have no idea how much I love the food here!!!!! I’ve been here at least 5 times and these pictures are from all different times I’ve been here becauseI really want to love it! Unfortunately the service is just so bad. Please note that I am not a picky customer. I never ask for alterations or substitutes to my food, I always tip well and I always say please and thank you. I’ve given this place so many chances because I really do love the food so much! The service is just so bad. I feel like I’m bothering the staff by just ordering and being there. Every time I go though, it’s always the same two waiters so I also think they are just burned out. I totally understand that but unfortunately I do have deduct points for that as a fair review as a customer. I still strongly suggest you support this place because the food really is amazing. Perhaps take out is a better option than dinning in though.

I ordered from them tonight on seamless / grub hub. They delivered to the door without ringing the doorbell or texting me, so it was sitting outside for a bit since I didn’t know. After called we were able to locate the order. Additionally, the shredded garlic pork was really salty. It’s sad - they used to be really good! But the quality of the service and the food seems to be going down.
FLAVORFUL, HOT, FAST, AUTHENTICThe pepper fish soup is excellent!! Amazing flavors, spicy, served HOT. Very large portion for the price. Enough to feed 2, maybe even 3 people. I had so much leftover to take home. Very generous amounts of white fish, eenoki mushroom, and sprouts in a clear peppercorn broth that was perfectly done. I was very impressed by the quality of the food. The business appears to be family owned, the service is excellent. Casual atmosphere, lots of neighborhood customers. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and great service at this local Forest Hills restaurant. My Wife likes it very much and her Sister was in town. We spent the day together and we had dinner there. Generous servings in a family style. If you like Chinese food you won't be disappointed. Give them a try.
Authentic menu, super slow service.
The XLB was not bad but the other dimsum items we ordered weren't good.

Delicious and fast! Food was out so quickly my family assumed it was prepared/ready in some way already, but who cares when it's still so tasty. Hot and sour soup wasn't the largest portion but everything else was (meatballs, beef noodle soup, pork belly & tofu knots). Would come again or order again!
Nice place in a nice area. Food is good. The Pan Fried Noodle with Seafood was a bit saltier than my taste. The name of this place in Chinese is also very special
The other day my wife and I went to Memories of Shanghai and ordered quite a lot of food. Forget about their prices going way up ($2.49/shrimp dumpling), but midway through our meal, the cook came out from the back, maskless, and began coughing into his hand..then the cashier sneezed ..the coughing continued when he went back to the kitchen! We looked at each other with disgust and disappointment, vowing to never return here again.
Unique dim sum experience. A little bit pricier than the flushing classics but really great quality for the forest hills area and worth it for the convenience. The flavors were a bit different as well but a good variation on the normal.
Everything we ordered was good. The pork soup dumplings was good but lack the traditional rich soup flavor. Don't get me wrong, still very tasty food. I will come back again.
