We love Nick's Bistro always go there for lunch abd di ner throughout the year. This was our 4th year having dinner on New Years Eve. Everyone is so friendly and I just love the pla e
Had a wonderful 3 hour New Year's Eve dinner from soup to nuts! Everything was just fabulous from the food, wine, appies, cappies, entrees and desserts.
I took two friends to Nick's for "Friendsgiving," and we had a lovely time. All the staff were friendly and attentive (Too cold over there? How's this instead?), and the food was delicious. The three of us had the whole package--drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert--and the portions were generous. My one friend, who opted for a hot sandwich plate, had to ask for a container to take part of it home! We followed our meal by browsing some of the nearby shops on Metropolitan Avenue to make it a full afternoon...
Always excellent food and service, but best to go "off" hours when the restaurant (which is fairly small) isn't too crowded. Greek specialties, Greek wines, and seafood are highly recommended.
I was looking forward to going to Nick's cuz of the moussaka. I've had moussaka dozens of times and never had it covered with a tomato sauce. It tasted reheated from frozen...not fresh. My suggestion take it off the menu. Disappointed.
Everything else was fine. The trio of apps...Stuffed mushrooms grilled calamari and meatballs was good.

This is the first time Open Table has steered me wrong. Based on reviews I had very high hopes for an authentic Greek restaurant, but unfortunately it's more a diner with Greek food, and only mediocre Greek food at that. We had lots to sample from: quinoa falafel (good), vegetarian grape leaves (winner of the night), stuffed mushrooms (tepid but tasty), filet of sole (industrial and cafeteria-like with lots of paprika), lemon potatoes (boiled Yukon gold with corn starchy lemon sauce spooned on top) and a good custard dessert not on the menu. Wait staff was great, if rushing. If you're looking for OK- food served very quickly to accommodate turnover (gotta hand it to them-- it's very popular), this is your place. But if you want really delicious authentic home-cooked-style Greek food made with lots of care and attention to quality, go elsewhere.
Good food and ambience.

Had the Fra Diavolo, the mussels smelled like manure and tested awful. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Food here was amazing, we started with the stuffed grape leaves and the avgolemono soup. Perfection. But then we had the main courses (a pork souvlaki platter along with a lamb gyro platter), which, unbelievable, topped that. The meat was tender, moist and juicy; in comparison to other restaurants, you can tell this was made with quality ingredients and homemade with care. We had the pleasure of meeting Dillon and Diego, who took care of us. They were absolutely awesome.
We love going to restaurants as they are places where we can make memories and share experiences. This was that and much more, as both Dillon and Diego treated us like family.
Yes, this restaurant was that good, make sure you find yourself here.
Nick’s Bistro, thank you so much!!!!!

I ordered the lamb burger expecting something flavorful and unique, but it didn’t taste like lamb at all. The patty was pale—more like veal or a beef blend—and completely unseasoned. The texture was fatty and lacked the richness that defines real lamb. Surprising because the first time I ordered the lamb burger - it was named Nicks burger- who makes the patty with so much parsley, it was really good. But the lamb burger yesterday tasted bland and so disappointing.
The only thing I enjoyed was the brioche bun. My onions were undercooked, and even after asking for sauce, I was given A1 steak sauce, which didn’t complement the dish at all. I had considered adding mushrooms and was told it came with cheese, but it had this block of feta, so dry, unseasoned- weird.
Overall, the service felt rushed. The dining room is excessively loud and even though they checked if I was satisfied with the meal, you know it's more of a formality. Then they jumped straight to offering dessert. #wheredidnickgo
