I EXPECTED THE AREA TO BE BIGGER AND TABLES WAS ON THE SIDE. THE BAR AREA GETS CROWED SO THE BEER DRINKERS ARE NEXT TO THE TABLES NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THEM NEXT TO YOU SPILLING THEIR BEERS. MUSIC VERY LOUD HARD TO TALK OVER EACH OTHER AND THIS WAS AT 530PM. OVERALL NOT BAD PLACE.

Great spot and a hidden gem in forest hills Food: i ordered the bianca del diavolo pizza (personal size) and it was amazing. I gradients tasted fresh and good quality, it was cooked perfectly and needed nothing extra for flavor. It was a lot of pizza for one person, this can be shared by two. It was happy hour and i also or ordered a passion fruit margarita which was also amazing! Strong yet very flavorful! Price: definitely go during happy hour so your pockets don't hurt as bad. But even if you don't, i feel the price is worth the quality and quantity of food and drink ($6) you get. Service: the service was great! The servers and bartender (i am annoyed i forgot her name because she was awesome) were very friendly and welcoming. Gave great suggestions and were attentive when they needed to be. Ambiance: i sat at the bar and felt comfortable with the dim lighting and tv entertainment on while i enjoyed my cocktail and meal. The place is small and narrow but it not annoyingly loud or very crowded. I also went in the afternoon so vibe might be different at night but i appreciated the mood and decor. Classy

Had a nice Al fresco dining meal here. It was 8pm and the inside was packed. I also noticed the tables were actually best for small groups. We were a party of three so it was easier to be outside. Thankful for their toasty heat lamps.Started with the Polpette, meatballs appetizer with fresh ricotta cheese. It was very good... Great sauce! I asked for bread and it was brought out nice and warm. For dinner, we ordered the personal sized Margherita pizza. Lots of fresh basil. Thin crust and generous in size. There were six slices in total. We really enjoyed the texture of the crust. It was crisp but not burnt and still soft. Also had the flat iron steak with brussel sprouts and potatoes. I was surprised to see the portion of steak (a tad on the small side) but it was nicely served on a wooden board. The steak was medium rare - more rare than medium but I loved it. So tender and juicy. The potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts were roasted beautifully. Very fresh sprouts indeed. We also ordered the pasta in the cheese wheel... seems to be their most popular dish besides the variety of pizzas. The process was done table side - was a nice presentation too.Overall, a good dinner. I just wished my steak was a tad bigger.

I eat pizza a lot , been to famous spots in the city. This place takes the cake. That sauce is juicy , plays with your tongue. One of the best pizzas I had in my LIFE. If you a pizza fan then you must try it.

Had a nice Al fresco dining meal here. It was 8pm and the inside was packed. I also noticed the tables were actually best for small groups. We were a party of three so it was easier to be outside. Thankful for their toasty heat lamps. Worked nicely! Started with the Polpette, meatballs appetizer with fresh ricotta cheese. It was very good... Great sauce! I asked for bread and it was brought out nice and warm. We were starving so needed that to tie us over as we waited for dinner. For dinner, my kiddo ordered the personal size Margherita pizza. Lots of fresh basil. Thin crust and generous in size. There were six slices in total. We really enjoyed the texture of the crust. It was crisp but not burnt and still soft. I had the flat iron steak with brussel sprouts and potatoes. I was surprised to see the portion of steak (a tad on the small side) but it was nicely plated and served on the wooden board. Presentation worked. And I can't complain, the steak was medium rare - more rare than medium but I loved it. So tender and juicy. It was perfect. The potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts were roasted beautifully, tender and a little brown. Very fresh sprouts indeed. Hubby got the pasta in the cheese wheel... seems to be their most popular dish besides the pizzas. The process was done table side - was a nice presentation too. The server we had was very talkative and friendly. He checked in on us several times and changed our plates and silverware between courses. Service! Seems business is slow per the server, especially considering it was a Friday night and in a normally busy hood. They were full inside so I can only imagine what he means by slow. LOL I didn't give it five stars because the seating situation was a little iffy at first and the inside staff didn't know what to do with us, party of three. And from what we heard of the table next to us, seems that they waited over 35 mins before getting served anything...oops. Confusion with the kitchen. Trust me, I was concerned when we ordered, but we had already sat down and ordered hoping for the best. Also, the steak entree, given the steak was on the smaller side, they could've offered more potatoes (not enough)!

The vegan pizza was delicious. I enjoyed it. I'm glad I found a pizzeria that is near me and also serves vegan. I will order again. Would've given 5 stars but it was too many capers which made the pizza very salty so I just picked them off.

I really love their ice cream options. Its really fresh & yummy. I was on a date and the waiter was so nice to offer us to sit down and finish our scoop of yumminess in their little outdoor area. Definitely going back for more. Highly recommend it.

Numero 28 is like a reliable and loyal friend who will rarely let you down. I've been to multiple locations, and they're all generally great. My favorite location (Carroll Gardens) no longer exists, but the Forest Hills location is pretty solid. The pizza is delicious. The dough is thin and airy; the sauce is the perfect consistency and not overly acidic; and the toppings are generous and evenly dispersed (always a plus). The cacio e pepe pasta no longer comes in a cheese wheel, which is a bit of a let down, but understandable given the circumstances of the past year and a half. The only dish I've tried and did not enjoy was the grilled octopus. I found it to be a bit tough, and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked to the point that they were almost raw and somewhat difficult to chew. They were also enormous and only halved, which probably didn't help, and they were not seasoned at all (as in not even the tiniest discernible hint of salt). I would recommend the pizza and pasta dishes without hesitation but would not deviate from those options in the future. The service is always great: attentive and friendly. I hope the cheese wheel comes back some day!

Was craving for some Lasagna so we came here to get some good home made lasagna. Was not disappointed. We also ordered Cacio e Pepe, which was bought to us in a cheese wheel then placed on a plate. You can also get free drinks if you check in through yelp or tag them on instagram. The area was very quiet. Theres a bar booth but we chose to sit on a table. The waiters are very friendly and give you as much as time as you need to make sure you're getting the correct food. They also make pizza right in front of you. The Cacio e Pepe was the biggest highlight for me when I was there. Its bought to you in a cheese wheel and they roll the hot spaghetti around inside to make sure its very cheesy then serve it to you in a plate. It was really really good too. The lasagna for me tasted better though, you could tell it was freshly made. The sauce and the meat ratio was perfect. In few bites, it was gone and you'd crave to have more. We also had truffle fries for side and that was very good as well. Overall it was a great experience and I loved it. Will definitely come back again to try new food

I treated by best friend to lunch for her birthday. She chose this place to dine at. There's a little area setup to eat outside so that's where we sat. We started off with drinks, Chardonnay and a Sprite with cherries. The sprite tasted weird although I was given the can. Not sure what happened. For lunch we ordered a personal Grandma Pizza sans the pesto sauce, Lemon Chicken, and Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken. The grandma pizza wasn't good. It's was flimsy and the tomato sauce lacked major flavor. I tried adding garlic, oregano, and fresh Parmesan cheese, but nothing worked. My best friend enjoyed her lemon chicken which came with roasted brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes. I'm not a fan of lemon chicken but she let me try it. It was tender. The brussels were huge and underwhelming. I enjoyed my fettuccine Alfredo. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The Alfredo was super creamy. I added a bunch of Parmesan cheese to it. I surprised her with Crème Brûlée and the staff came out and sung her, Happy Birthday. We also had a variety of gelatos: Gianduia, Hazelnut, and Dulce De Leche. The gelatos were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the Dulce because it had the right amount of sweetness and was so light.

Pizza was too salty but still tasty. Excellent wait staff. There us a N28guest wifi but they won't give out the password. Strange.

Great food, service and ambiance. The Cacio e Pepe is delicious as is the flat iron steak. Looking forward to a second visit!

In town for a night staying with a friend in Forest Hills, so we walked over to this cute little pizzeria for Friday night dinner. We made reservations for outdoor, and were seated right away when we arrived, on the little outdoor seating area that was build on the sidewalk. Service was very efficient and friendly, filled our waters multiple times, and came right away for our drink orders. We each had 2 aperol spritz, and they were very light and refreshing to sip on along with our pizza. We ordered 2 pizzas to share between the 2 of us, and made it a little difficult for our waitress, as we asked for 1 of the pizzas with meat on only half (I'm a vegetarian, but my friend wanted the meat). They did make us that one half and half perfectly (Romeo), and then we also got the gramma with the pesto. They were both super delicious, I don't even know which one I liked better, maybe the Romeo the artichoke was really good! Overall a great dinner, the 2 pizzas and 2 drinks perfectly filled us up (with a little room for ice cream for dessert).
