Song Dumpling Cafe

The food is delicious, served fast and hot and extremely affordable. Just a few weeks ago me, my wife, our son and my mother all went together. We had more than enough food and our bills only came to about $50 which is great when you consider the vast amount of dumplings we ordered.

Oh and try the Pork and Shrimp Dumplings. They are legendary.

Had Japanese chicken and Beef & Curry dumplings mix and match for takeout. Very tasty, wasn’t thick dough so didn’t feel heavy after eating, but filled me up enough to be satisfied and wasn’t greasy. Will definitely go back when I’m in the mood for dumplings

Parking: Small amount of parking in front of the stores for the mini corner strip (about 4 stores), and you have to go over a little curb so it might confusing when looking to park.

I really like this place. The spicy wonton noodle soup is very good and all the dumplings I’ve tried so far are solid. Idk if they read the reviews but if they got chili oil, my rating would be even better.

Went on a Saturday. Waited 45 minutes for my to go order. Food was hot and fresh when I got it. Everything tasted good. Got the pan fried dumpling, lotus rice, and pork buns. Wasn't the best I've had, wasn't the worst. Other than the crazy wait, service was good. Wouldn't order again for that long of a wait.

We got the pan fried lemongrass chicken and pork with Chinese celery. The filling inside was ok. I couldn’t tell the difference between the pork and chicken to be honest. I could only tell one was chicken because of the lemon taste. We also got the roast pork noodle soup. The noodles were good, nice and bouncy with a good chew. The roast pork was a little too fatty. It was filling at a reasonable price. Make sure if you want to tip on the credit card tell them before they ring you up.

Vegetarian options: They had dumplings that were for vegetarians.

Best dumplings around, with friendly ordering quantities and combinations. Red date ginger tea is delicious. There is no real "atmosphere" in this simple restaurant whose ambiance is rather like a sandwich shop. Service is good. For drivers, it is nice that there is some on-site parking. Taht makes it easy for us to stop in when we are near Metropolitan Ave. Song Dumpling Cafe is all about the food, and it is delicious.

Wheelchair accessibility: With parking readily available and no stairs at entrance, this place should be pretty good for accessibility. Might need a hand at the door... it closes pretty hard as you pass through.

Fresh, flavorful, and no frills!

Song dumpling is one of my favorite places to go for good inexpensive food and a no nonsense simple eating experience. BBQ pork buns, soup dumplings, scallion pancakes and honey Citron tea are my favorites. The main woman who is usually there is always wonderful.
