I’m literally mid sushi while writing this. This place has the freshest sushi I’ve had in the area. I’m so serious, this is high quality sushi, great texture, great taste, fresh, and overall amazing. The salmon is buttery and the avocado is not hard or too mushy. It’s a bit pricier than other places, but it’s well worth the price. 10/10, I can’t believe I never entered until today.

I used to love this place. The staff are friendly, and it was my go-to for decent sushi and sashimi at a decent price when I couldn't take the trip to my favorite place in Astoria. I have no clue what happened, but the last two times I ordered the medium combo, the salmon, tuna sushi, and sashimi ---and even the eel at one time were stale. I never experienced eating old raw fish, and it was disgusting. IMHO, it is better that they charge a few more dollars than try to minimize their expenses by selling old fish. I feel traumatized by this experience (I almost vomited) and will stop coming here. I am a sushi lover, but after eating Sushi Time's stale sushi, I need to take a break from eating any raw fish. Just the thought of sushi now makes me gag.

"I had an exceptional dining experience at Sushi Time! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable servers who made great recommendations.

But the real star of the show was the food - oh, the food! Fresh, delicious, and expertly prepared, every bite was a delight. The sushi was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and the presentation was stunning.

What truly sets Sushi Time apart, however, is the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome and cared for throughout my meal.

If you're a sushi lover like me, or just looking for a great dining experience, look no further than Sushi Time. I can't wait to come back and indulge again!"

Have been here a few times and it's now become my go-to after my haircut nearby.

I recommend ordering ahead as one time I came on a Friday evening and was told the wait for a take-out dish would be over 1 hour. That being said, my most recent visit was a Thursday evening and the takeout was almost immediate. The spot itself is fairly small so really lends itself more to takeout than dining in.

The menu has a TON of options. I usually stick to the combo boxes or the generic rolls because when you venture to the more specialized rolls things get to be a bit expensive. Not necessarily out of the norm expensive and pretty typical of such sushi places.

The rolls I've gotten have always had a nice consistency in how well they've been prepared. Most recently, went with the Alaskan roll and the spicy tuna roll, both of which were standard. Fish felt fresh, as did the other ingredients. I do wish there had been a skosh more wasabi given.

The service is great. The front counter people are always so nice. This most recent time, I had told her I would be back in a certain time period and she kept my food in the refrigerated portion of the restaurant while waiting for me to return, which I super appreciated.

Parking on Austin St is super hit or miss. You can usually find SOMETHING but it may take you a few laps.

I had a great experience with this restaurant. They have several vegetarian options. I ordered the avocado roll and an asparagus, cucumber, and avocado combo roll. When I ordered over the phone, the staff confirmed the rolls could be made gluten free (aside from the wasabi). When I got home and opened the bag, I saw that they had given me gluten free soy sauce packets as well! To top it all off, the food was delicious. I’ll definitely eat here again.
