My partner and I live in NYC and have land in Bethel. Forage Pizza is our go-to restaurant in the area. You’d be hard pressed to find brick oven pizza this good even in the city. We eat here every time we’re nearby and sometimes even on our way to or from other areas. If you want beer or wine to go with your pizza there’s a great store just across the street that has a really nice selection of local offerings. Enjoy!

The best pizza of the Catskills and NY State, lovely staff, cute indoor and when warm nice patio. They also have delicious breakfast biscuits on the weekends.

Moved up to Sullivan county 18 months ago. I have tried every pizza in a 20 mile radius. This is by far the best pizza. No thrills restaurant. But the people, pizza oven, and pizza is the best. My new weekly pizza joint.

Had a few various slices: Sopressatta, funghi, bacon and maple syrup (very sweet), and plain. All were just ok, tops done nicely bottom is wet and floppy. Pies are about 12" also. So dont thing its a huge pie. Need 4 pies to equate to one normal pie. So be prepared to pay about 60-80 bucks to feed what would be a normal pizzeria pie. The white bean dip was very good as were the spicy olives. The places sits about 7 people at the counter and a few at the table. but pretty cramped. There is outdoor seating but that doesn't work in the winter. Talk to the owner but can't really get a straight answer from talking about the oven and the ingredients.

Apparently some folks in our society can't follow rules. They have expressed this by posting negative reviews and giving 1 Star reviews to a 5 Star establishment. I know I know you we treated badly or you were hung up on, yada yada yada. You are not savvy enough to read the rules and abide by them. You seem to be above following the rule in general and are put off when you are called out. I stand by my recommendation of "this place is the best pizza in the county" and probably far beyond. So try try try to just read and obey and possibly you will have as good as an experience as i myself have had along with hundreds more. LAUREN's (Winter so far) POP UP BISCUIT BREAKFAST If you are a breakfast person like me, you find and sharing great places. So just as my reviews of Forage Pizza in Forestburgh NY the fine folks there have done it again. Lauren the "Biscuit Queen" has decided to share her love of cooking and her famous Biscuits with the community. Posted below is the menu and I promise you shan't be disappointed. Start with the basic w/butter, homemade jam of the weekend, bacon and cheese, sausage and cheese you get the picture ..... Read the menu! The biscuits are light and fluffy whatever you put between them and the coffee is superb. I highly recommend you stop by on the weekend (check out their schedule) and give it a try. Whatever you have on them you will not be disappointed!

One star is more than they deserve. Terrible, rude customer service. "Read the rules" before you can order, which are obnoxious. These wanna be "hipsters" really aren't as cool as they think they are. POOR service with a bad attitude. A $ 16 salad that was a small cup of grass. Literally. So-so pizza that took an hour with no apology from the "chef" , who contiunued to behave in a rude manner. Dirty surroundings. Loud music and a large dog on a rope barking as you as you try to choke down their terrible food.

terrible experience. This shop owner is extremely full of himself. Being a lifelong New Yorker, I have had pizza from a lot of places and his pizza, from what I could still find an edible piece of, was so-so. But the experience was awful. We walked in, a waitress said "first you have to read the rules" to us, senior citizens, my husband didn't have reading glasses with him, he didn't understand what the heck she was talking about - I had read about them on his website so I noticed a few things like : no special orders, no substitutions, stuff like that, so I said yes, I'm somewhat familiar, let's just place our order. We had tickets to a play about 5 miles away and my son and his girlfriend were meetiung us, so I had their order and placed it all. For one thiung, there's "mariunara" pizza and when you ask well, is there mozzarella on it? the chef calls over "NO cheese on marinar pizza". Seriously? So if you want cheese like a real pizza, you are stuck with "four cheese" or marghaereta which my husband doesn't like, so we got stuck with 4 cheese b/c remember, no substitutions. I bought a salad that had all greens and almost none of the vegetables that are described on the menu; in fact, a couple of shriveled pieces of zucchini for $ 16. It was pretty bad. I've eaten salads in maybe 100 restaurants and this one, by far, was the worst. A bowl of wilted greens for $ 16. We sat at filthy picnic tables outside which was all they have, and there was a huge barking German shephard dog that was tethered just a few feet away and he looked like he wanted to attack us. When I walked back into the place to ask where was our food, after 45 mintues, there were people with dogs walking around inside. SO unsanitary in a small space! I said we have a show, we have to LEAVE, the owner/chef said oh, ok. He said well, it's dinner hour. It was almost 8 pm. He said mine was the "next one out" and the snotty waitress said "two minutes" but it was more like 5 more minutes, we had to get boxes (OH - she also told us "NO TO GO ORDERS) but we had to iunsist on boxes, dripping all over us hot pizza drippions trying to race the 5 miles to barely catch the beginning of our play. So I had no dinner. I threw out $ 35 worth of crappy pizza. The owner wasn't apologetic, so sorry for the delay, nothing. The staff is arrogant and rude. The place is unhygienic. They have loud obnoxious music blasting outside, which is where you have to sit and wait; I guess they are modern day hipsters and they thuink this all makes them cool. To me, I wouldn't go back and I cvan tell you within 10 miles of this place you vcan get pizza from a decently run establishme nt that treats you like a VALUED CUSTOMER and doesn't have attack dogs outside and customers with dogs running around inside. And if there is a one hour wait for their prixed pizza, they should tell you this, not "read the rules" and trust me, their pizza isn't worth the trip, and it isn't worth the wait,

So clearly the best pizza in the county and beyond. It’s a trek for us to get here but we try to do it at least once a month because it is just literally the best pizza I have had in ages. It’s a very relaxed vibe. Very different than any other place around. Enjoy the outdoor seating while you wait for what will be one of the best pizzas you’ve ever had.Hot sopresetta is my go to but they all are great!

We came with 9 and on the weekend so we knew we would have to generally wait also as only 4 pizzas come at a time. Nevertheless first we got an order of salad which we didn’t order and we’re told we did. We got half the pizzas and then had to wait almost an hour for the others to come while other orders of people who came after us came our before ours. Also, one pizza was incorrect and when we tried to tell them they said no we were wrong and refused to make another. Quite a shame as atmosphere was nice but the staff was rather rude especially since one pizza was incorrect, and no apology and also the pizza we ordered was more expensive than the one we received.Overall ok but improvements could be made to pizza management of which orders come when as well as staff friendliness.

This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is soft and delicious. My favorite appetizer is the burrata which comes with a great pesto topping. I’ve tried most things on the menu and never been disappointed. A hidden gem in the Catskills.

We’d hoped to eat outside but it was pouring rain so we decided to order to go. We had a group of 15 people and they wouldn’t let us get more than 4 of the tiny pizzas to go. We’d come in 3 cars and were 4 families. We asked if we could make separate orders for each family and they said no because we came together. So we decided we’d stay and eat in the rain bc kids were hungry but my brother and his pregnant wife wanted to go home and tried to order two pizzas to go separately and they wouldn’t let him make a separate order. They said they’re too small to handle more than 4 pizzas to go which is completely nonsensical given that we could have presented as 4 separate families and ordered 16 pizzas to go. Or as many pizzas as we wanted to eat in the rain. Ruined the last night of our time in the area.
