I visited the playhouse for the first time last night and my group of 8 and I, Food and drink bills were all messed up. Every single tab. Maybe it was this girls first night ever working a group of 8. With all separate tabs. I end up paying for a separate couples drinks for the night. Had no idea who they were. I wouldn’t visit here again.

We decided to purchase the Cabaret dinner show "Music from the 80's we very much enjoyed the show it appeared to me to be talented High Schoolers singing all of our favorite tunes. Upon arrival the table is set with a fresh salad & biscuit. Then off to the buffet which was very good chicken, salmon, bean salad, cold slaw, After we were served coffee & apple cake. It's definitely worth a visit.

It’s the perfect spot for a drink or cabaret or concert here in Forestburgh. Connected to the Forestburgh Playhouse, so catch a show at the theater and then have drinks and dinner at the Tavern.

I have been attending performances at the Forestburgh Playhouse for many years. The performances are generally extraordinary, with very talented actors and actresses. The management always does their best to make sure that the show is high quality and entertaining. The reason I cannot give the playhouse 5 stars is that some of the seating is very uncomfortable. Even after the recent renovations of the theater, some rows are still very uncomfortable. I will be attending next year's shows, however I will choose my seats very carefully.

When you drive onto the grounds of the Forestburgh Playhouse you are greeted by a beautiful perennnial garden Something to enjoy before or after the show. We were there to see "Priscilla Queen of the Desert". The Playhouse is very rustic sort of a converted barn from an Andy Hardy and Judy Garland movie. The seats are new having just been replaced and the room is air conditioned and comfortable. The stage is small but a clever director used it very wisely. The cast is made up mostly of students from theater colleges, but there are some professionals as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the show. Our friends who saw it on Broadway said it was excellent. The cast was enthusiastic and talented, what more can you ask. The Playhouse is close to rte. 17 accessible from the south by the thruway and from the east by rte. 84. We will be back to see some more great theater, way, way off Broadway.

We had a great time experiencing the first rate acting, singing, and quality musicians who were part of The Buddy Holly Story. The epitome of professional theater in a summer stock setting. The Forestburgh Playhouse has an excellent reputation for professional caliber theater. You won't be disappointed.

Enjoyed the play...cast of many talents hidden away in the barn woodsy setting......well run production that made good use of a small stage and in fact showcased a group of individuals that actually might have a shot at making it to Broadway. Would love to see them take on The Drowsy Chaperone. The luncheon served before the show at the Tavern was tasty and generous. Definitely a great deal for luncheon and a show......my complaint is that it was a meal better served in the fall or winter.....not on a hot summer day. I could guess the staff was trying to hit an English theme but Bangers and Mash And butternut squash with a molasses based pudding just doesn’t work at 84 degrees. It put many in my party to sleep....Better to think of something like a high tea presentation or lighter fare.
