drove 2 hours round trip to finally check this place out and well worth the drive (already planning a return visit!). I initially set out to try their French crullers, which did not disappoint, but I wound up buying a loaf of sourdough and it has to be the best sourdough I’ve ever tried. Great taste and phenomenal texture
Sleepy Forest Bakeshop is a godsend, honestly. You'll benefit from being an early riser, you'll want to get there before they sell out of a lot of things on the weekends. It's is a bakery after all. They have great bagels and creatively flavored, totally scratch-made donuts. No mixes found here! You won't find a better breakfast sandwich in the area, either. Sleepy Forest is a special place in our little town! They make such delicious baked goods, it's hard to enjoy a donut from anywhere else! Love their bagels, too. There's always something exciting to find, including GF options, too!
