The WORSE Haitian food I had in my entire life. I had to throw away the food , that’s how bad it was. There’s no way those 5 stars reviews are authentic. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

I had a repass at the restaurant. We agreed on 5 platters for about 20 guests. First of all the owner told me the doors will open at 1pm. I thought the food will be ready by then because most of my relatives came from out of state and came straight to the funeral and the burial. We sat for an hour and half. She never served the food. Some had to walk out. The plantains were stale. The griot wasn't freshly made. The chicken as well. The macaroni and the salad were ok.
I had an overflow of 15 people. She just reduce the servings per people. She didn't not add anymore food. I was there the whole time. She never made me aware that they were more peopletgat she would charge me more. At the end of the meal,she told me I would have to pay her $270 more. While she had already charged me $700 for the 5 platters. She didn't even put water out for people to drink. We had to ask her for water. How much is a case of 40 bottles of water?
It's unfortunate that the owner chose to take advantage of my mother's funeral to get more money from me.
This is so unethical. I will not recommend anyone to have Tati Jo's Caribbean Bistro to cater any event. She needs to hire someone who knows how to run a restaurant.

Live Band was off the hook, Food is Good, drinks could be stronger. Griot is very tasty. No burnt pieces at all. Nice and succulent. Portions are on point.
