We stopped in to check out Ellicottville Brewing (Aka EBC West) in Fredionia. It's the 2nd oldest of the locations and is independently owned by the same owner as Ration Ales in Williamsville.
We only stopped in for drinks and always recommend their Blueberry Wheat, which has real blueberries rising and falling in your cold glass of deliciousness. The group tried others as well, and they did allow for some samples to find the brew that fits you best. They have a full bar.
The building itself is older, long and narrow, with multiple floors and a seasonal patio. The staff was great. The manager stopped over and gave us some history of the location and suggested trying the Ellicottville Brewing Bourbon (by Hartman's Distilling) which was surprisingly good.
A cool stop to check out. If we are in the area again, we will be back!

Glad we stumbled across this little brewery, because there aren't many food choices on Sunday in the off season. I had the sweet & spicy burger and my wife had shrimp tacos both were very good.

The fish fry was way overpriced ...overcooked ...dry...the slaw awful. The fries frozen. The tomato bisque was excellent. If you like eating with 100 decibels of brewing vat equipment in your ears fine. If not ask to sit as far from the vats as possible.

Great staff at the bar. It is truly a great small town pub, but it needs more than IPAs to draw in anyone other than hipsters. Food was delicious, and served hot.

Came here for my sister's bachelorette party (decidedly tame, right?). Played games, drank drinks, had a blast. Staff were super accomodating of the group, and we were impressed with the beer selection. Mmmmm... beer...

Pretty building and nice atmosphere. Very quiet and sparse number of customers. Service was minimal and seemed she couldn’t care less if we stayed or not. Food was wasn’t terrible but nothing special.

Food was very good. Service was very good. Only problem is the old, hard wooden chairs.

Like the label says, it's definitely more restaurant than brewery. So no flights but a good beer list. Strangely there were only two beers from EBC on said list. But it was heavily focused on local beers, which was great. The building is very cool-looking inside and it was a nice place to just sit and have a drink. Service was very good(she kept a really watchful eye on the level in my glass). Didn't have the usual "buy some 4-packs" setup available.

We booked a large party for a celebration of life on a busy Saturday on move in weekend. Not only did the accommodate our party on such a busy day, they did so with attentive care and great service. The food provided was very good along with the drinks selection. We were also able to bring in outside cakes to enjoy for our celebration. Would highly recommend for the food and atmosphere.

Excellent staff and beer selection. The menu could have better variety though.

Had a casual dinner. Burgers. Waitress was friendly, knowlegable about gluten free options. They have gluten free hamburger rolls !!! {well, so many places do have them these days.} Grear burgers ! Fries come in a cute metal basket. We'll be back !
EBC has the beer cheese that all others should be measured by. On fries, on your sandwich, with nachos or just with pretzels, it is fantastic. The beer selection is no longer just EBC, as they have other locals on tap, including ciders and the EBC root beer. There's plenty of public parking out back for the streets restaurants, and seating downstairs, upstairs or outside on the back side of the building. The outside seating is shaded, and they have recently surrounded it with 'leaf' fencing so you're not overlooking a parking lot.

Use to be good - MY fish fry was nothing but cheap frozen stuff reheated and pandered off as made in house .... restaurants are getting worse and this place leads the way
