Food was good but took too long for the appetizers which came at the same time with the entrees. The potato salad was bland and the collard greens too salty. Not going back.

Good food. Good service. What more do you need? On the nautical mile, but not on the water side.

Take my word for it and GO!! The food is already a 10/10 but the hospitality makes it a 100/10!! Give this spot a shot. All I see is a black man trying to chase his dreams and he’s doing it!!!

UPDATE!!!!!! Special Thanks to the owner who welcomed me back to the Restuarant for a refund and another meal. I really appreciate the kind gesture. Thank you so very much!

This Restuarant was recommended to me because I was Jetskiing in the area. I went there and I ordered Pulled pork with Mac & cheese, YAMS and koolaid. That was almost recommended. I sat there for 40 mins waiting for my food. When I inquired they said the kitchen was backed up due to a catering order. Hmmmmmmm, shouldn’t you have told me that before I ordered? So I got my food and decided to come to the pier and eat it. And I must say, I was extremely disappointed. I didn’t even finish it. First of all, the food wasn’t even hot. Second, I was given collard greens and not yams. The Mac has no seasoning and I was chewing the pulled pork like it was gum. I literally threw the food in the garbage. And the koolaid. I don’t know what they put in it but it was not good. I could have taken it back but I didn’t want to try anything else from there. $36 wasted. Very disappointed.

My response to the response:

Thank you for responding. I will try to get back this evening.

Catfish sandwich disappointing chicken wings amazing. Black beans were something out of this world, cornbread was solid and the alcohol drinks were amazing. The only that was ridiculous was the wait time. It’s understaffed or the chief was cooking for perfection. Food 9/10

I’m trying to figure out why we sit down at 530 Pm and still haven’t gotten our food…waiting 2 hours for something is crazy and it’s not even the brisket like yall gotta do better. Just me and my table staring at each other and if I could give this place a rating it would no stars make it Make sense

Took my kids there. The music was on point DJ was killing it. Drinks were great. Food on the other hand was terrible. Feels like I was served 2 day old brisket it was super over cooked as well the pulled pork. Yams tasted like it was straight from the can. Lemon pepper wings tasted like fish. I would never return there again. I had such high hopes for that place

If i gotta write a review, believe it 100% with accuracy because I rarely even make these efforts

On the walk in, limited menu, understandable its holiday weekend

• 50-60 min wait to get some shrimp sliders and fried shrimp, literally only 2 tables was seated so wasn't busy
• staff clearly undertrained , they don’t care for their jobs , they know they’re getting an auto gratuity of 18%
• fries were missing from order, informed em of it, never came to bring em, then staff said kitchen is closed
• shrimp on the sliders got no flavor, its mini sized, you eating 70% bread / 30% shrimp
• asked to speak to owner as we knew he was there; never came , so here we are

Don’t believe the social media aesthetics, the food quality is sub par.

No sympathy for black businesses performing at such low quality levels after launching for 2+ years

Hope the in person experience matches the social media aesthetics some day in the future

This was our second attempt to dine here. The first was unsuccessful because of a private party and we didn’t want to wait the hour until the party was over so we headed back home. Only because we didn’t want to get stuck in traffic on our way back home. So this Fourth of July weekend we took a chance. Especially since my fiancé wanted some good barbecue. He called ahead this time to make sure they would be open for regular business. Now it’s not a big place. It’s small and cozy so depending on the time you go you could have a wait. Lucky for us there was no wait and we were seated immediately. Even for a holiday weekend, but it was still early. We arrived around 2 o’clock or 2:30 I believe and there were a few tables left. For appetizers we ordered the catfish sliders, barbecue wings and the fried shrimp. For drinks we had lemonade, sweet tea, and Sprite. My fiancé and I both enjoyed our drinks. The sprites were for the kids. Everything was excellent. Everything seasoned well and cooked just right. Then we ordered the family combo with 3 meats and 3 sides and a side of cornbread. We ordered the brisket, the pulled pork and the ribs for our meat. For our sides we ordered 2 candied yams and the collard greens. Again, everything was delicious. No complaints. My children were also there and they can be funny about stuff but they also enjoyed the food. It was really good. So good we ordered some to take home. Overall me and my family had a good time. The atmosphere was chill and the music on point. Definitely going back.

Tried the location for a second time, first time the food was extremely salty but after going again it was really good. Now this review is 3 stars only because they are EXTRA stingy with the liquor. How do you make a patron margarita & I watch you only put a baby shot within the glass. You’re basically serving juice at that point. Overall nice place but I would avoid getting alcoholic drinks from there.

I really like the owner of this place. They need to hire more staff because it took awhile for our food and drinks to arrive. My favorite things on the menu were the clams and the honey lemon pepper wings. For the main dishes, I was expecting more food for the cost - I got the brisket for $28 and it came with 4 or 5 pieces. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come to this place but if I’m in the Freeport area I would stop by and sit at the bar and order appetizers.
