“My wife and I treated one of her client's and spouse to a late double Birthday celebratory dinner. Here are my thoughts about the meal: Pros: >The waiter was extremely professional and friendly. > We had the prix fixe dinner. Appetizers, Entrees, and Desserts were all delicious. > We felt welcomed to enjoy our company and were not rushed. Con: > According to the menu, Each Entree was supposed to be accompanied by both a potato and a vegetable. This was not the case. The four of us shared a single plate of roasted red potatoes and 5 nickel size pieces of a carrot. The waiter said this is correct and asked if we wanted tp pay for an actual side of vegetable. I was a bit embarrassed and found this odd when the prix fixe was supposed to come with enough vegetable for 4 people. This is definitely not what I would expect from a restaurant of this level.”

Highly recommend such a fun chill time there is also a room to rent out for parties fun place fun time. The outside might not look as beautiful as the inside but don't be afraid to walk in”

The marshmallow pancakes were good although I wish there were mini marshmallows throughout rather than just some large ones. Waitress was good at discussing some specials and recommended new items. Service was fast and they were very clean. Highly recommend. Parking lot available in the back. Prices are standard LI diner prices.”

“Carvel is literally a taste of my childhood.Whenever a birthday or another event arose that "required" a cake, we always got a carvel cake with the famous crunchies. Well to this day, my childhood carvel still exists in the same locale and i enjoy their cakes and other icey treats just as much. And Wednesdays are especially the day to go if you get the urge, because they are 2 for 1 on sundaes.. CANT BEAT THAT!”

“I had lunch here today and it was really good! I got the grilled chicken with yellow rice and sweet plantains and two chicken and cheese empanadas.The grilled chicken and rice were good. The sweet plaintains were’t really very sweet how I like them but they were pretty good. The chicken empanadas were good and cheesy but I wish they had beef and cheese instead.Overall this is a pretty good lunch spot, and considering the area not too unreasonably priced. I would definitely go back here again.Parking: There is no parking lot. You have to park in the street.Kid-friendliness: You could definitely bring kids and your family there with no issues.”

The food is 10/10 - seasoned to perfection, tender and delicious jerk chicken. The Rasta pasta was very tasty and the jerk shrimp omg, super yummy. rice was soft and tasty and the salad was a perfect addition to the dish. The service was 10/10 - the gentlemen was helpful and told us to go online to look at the menu and he ended up being the chef as well, this place is made to order so if you're in a rush I'd place my order before hand, if not enjoy the Freeport views and other restaurants and then come back for your food. Thank you sir for the delicious food!!! The ambiance is 5/10 - It is your typical hole in the wall shack type of location, no real ambiance to it, food is too go. They didn't offer any outdoor seating, so no real ambiance besides an open kitchen that looks really well kept and clean. If you're ever in Freeport - nautical mile. I would highly recommend this place!! You won't be disappointed.”

“I really like that their chili comes with no beans, but you can add them if you like. I get mine with cheese and onions. Yes it's salty but very tasty. The bacon and blue burger is also great, I love the bbq sauce on that. The onion rings are A+ fries are good. Only thing I didn't like was the chicken fingers so far, which is disappointing because I really like chicken fingers in general. Service is always fast and friendly. Will be back!”

“My friends and I were looking for a spot for lunch and came across this restaurant after roaming up and down the block. It stood out cause there was a huge space and there was indoor and outdoor dining. Plenty of tables but fairly empty on the Sunday afternoon that we came. Prices are reasonable considering there's lots of seafood options on the menu and portions are big. We ordered a few appetizers for the table: - Crispy calamari: wish the calamari was thicker. The ones here were the thinnest I've had and not my preferred texture since it was so thin but still fried well. - Crab cake: delicious, good chunks of crabmeat. - Coconut shrimp: 4 big pieces of fried shrimp per order with some kind of fried things in the middle. Good flavor! As for entrees, I got the crab bucatini. I was looking forward to bucatini pasta but unfortunately, they said that it would be served with linguine. The flavor was actually really good. Lovely tomato cream sauce with good amounts of crabmeat. I also got a side of seafood risotto which could be on entree on its own! It had smaller pieces of seafood but still very flavorful. I got to try my friend's seafood paella, which was so yummy. It was a huge portion, good to share for sure, and had lots of seafood and even chicken. The seafood on this was bigger pieces than the ones that came with the risotto. The tomato flavor in it also stood out and was really tasty. I also tried the sides of lobster mashed potatoes and parmesan truffle fries. The fries were just okay, not much truffle flavor and more like shoestring fries but not crispy enough in my opinion. The lobster mashed was delicious and had a good amount of lobster in it too! Overall, a great spot for lunch, dinner, casual meal with friends, or even a date. The menu has a decent variety of items but seemed to be more Italian and seafood focused. Definitely get their seafood items cause they don't skimp on the seafood and everything was cooked nicely! They also season their entrees really well, loved all the flavors.”

The two chicken dishes - sesame and bourbon chicken weren't as good. The bourbon chicken was just dry lacking sauce and just dry. The sesame chicken had good sauce but the chicken was tough and kind of woody in texture. Will come back for the beef and to try other things. The kitchen and front woman were swamped but they seemed like they were hustling! Lady was nice too although brisk.”

The entire experience was amazing.The owner is super accommodating, even letting me switch the date or the event last minute and change the number of people. They gave us ample space to set up food, desserts, and have more than enough seating for our guests.The bartender was awesome, friendly, and very helpful. He even came to sweep our area before our event started after we dropped some decorations on the floor.There was a live band that everyone enjoyed, from the younger guests to the older guests. The games also kept the kids entertained.This place was exactly what we were looking for and it was perfect for everyone who attended, from the 4 year old up to the 78 year old. This is perfect for events and families!”

For those who do not know, Dominican Cake is special and difficult to find someone who makes very good ones. Once you find someone that makes great ones, they are a gem! This place is it!
