“WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GEM! This place is definitely my new favorite place yet. I stumbled upon this restaurant randomly and I'm so glad that i did. The food is 10/10 - seasoned to perfection, tender and delicious jerk chicken. The Rasta pasta was very tasty and the jerk shrimp omg, super yummy. rice was soft and tasty and the salad was a perfect addition to the dish. The service was 10/10 - the gentlemen was helpful and told us to go online to look at the menu and he ended up being the chef as well, this place is made to order so if you're in a rush I'd place my order before hand, if not enjoy the Freeport views and other restaurants and then come back for your food. Thank you sir for the delicious food!!! The ambiance is 5/10 - It is your typical hole in the wall shack type of location, no real ambiance to it, food is too go. They didn't offer any outdoor seating, so no real ambiance besides an open kitchen that looks really well kept and clean. If you're ever in Freeport - nautical mile. I would highly recommend this place!! You won't be disappointed.“
“Good place to get some delicious food. J*** chicken with rice and peas was very delicious but be a little cautious with finding a few chopped bone pieces. Shrimp and chicken patties were delicious and flavorful too, with a very flaky crust. Friendly staff.“
“First time experience at Blue Island. We were a group of 5 and we all had a fantastic time! We love Caribbean cuisine and it was a nice bonus that we could enjoy Caribbean food in an elevated atmosphere, meaning this is a waterfront location so there is seating overlooking the water and the area is very live! This makes the property very unique as there are not many Caribbean restaurants in the area with a full on sit down dining experience and none that I know of overlooking the water. There is also inside dining which is where we sat with our group because the place was already packed by early evening. We were hoping to get seating outside but overall, had a nice dinner inside where there was a pianist that night, (intimate lo key, relaxing setting inside, and full on PARTY atmosphere outside, with great music!!!) the blue rum punch is everything! Will definitely return and arrive earlier for seating outside. hope in the future as they grow, they will extend the menu.“
“The food is delicious. I got a combo plate of oxtails,Curry goat and j*** chicken side of mac and cheese and ordered my mama oxtail dinner the food is very good and they give you a lot for your money. I wish they had plantains and dumplings.“
