I am disappointed to report that my recent dining experience was far from satisfactory. The food lacked flavor and appeared to be poorly prepared. The service was also subpar. The rice taste like Goya rice out the box and String beans taste straight out of can. I understand that every establishment can have off days, but this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to others based on my experience. I hope the restaurant will take my feedback into consideration to improve the quality of their food and service. There is significant room for improvement in various aspects of the dining experience.

I dine-in a few month ago and it was really the worst. To top it off the lobster was still cold and had sand in it with no flavor very bland. Fast forward to today! I went on Uber eat to search for turkey wing and just like mama cooking pop up. I call the number to place a take out since I was already on the road. When I went to the address I realized I eye here before but decided that I already place the order let’s give them another try. Worst mistake and a waste of money. The food was disgusting the candle yam mostly taste of cinnamon, the Mac and cheese wasn’t bake taste like box macaroni with cheese paste and milk and the turkey wing no flavor at all, no salt no nothing. I try the skin the inside and there were no flavor.

The food is good. However, my family and I dined at the restaurant tonight for my birthday. The chair that my father was sitting in, spontaneously broke. My father, a senior, had fallen on the floor. The manager, Anthony, watched the incident and did NOTHING! A family member and I helped my father up. I brought him a new chair. All the manager, Anthony, did was walk over. Stare at my dad in annoyance. Anthony then takes the chair and walks in the back, without a word. My mother, brother and I went to speak with Anthony. He was beyond non chalant, repeatedly saying he can’t do anything. The waitress was very lovely and apologetic. We asked if anything can be done with the bill. Anthony NEVER walked over to our table to apologize for it he inconvenience, nor ask if my father was ok. Other patrons saw this incident, and left after seeing this lack of professionalism. Those patrons didn’t even get their food yet. My mother then walks to the register to discuss the bill with Anthony the manager. Anthony is then flailing his arms and posturing as if wanting to hit my mom. I walk over, Anthony then stops. I’m voicing my frustrations outside, wanting to not disturb the other patrons dining at the restaurant. I turn around and Anthony is staring at my family and I as if we were the prey to be caught in Nightmare on Elm Street.
The manager acted like he didn’t care at all, saying I can’t do anything. The waitress took an additional discount off, that Anthony originally said couldn’t be done. My family, friends and I will NEVER return to this restaurant UNLESS they get new management. Why you may ask, ANTHONY IS THE OPPOSITE OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Excellent selections of high quality and great tasting Soul food in a cozy location. It's a cool place to visit if you're hungry.

The bbq chicken was okay, it needs more sauce it was a bit dry. The turkey wings were very tender & good. The Mac and cheese is very good. This is probably the only good soul food on Long Island

We ordered Turkey Wings, Fried Fish, Macaroni and Cheese, Yams, Corn and Beans. The Food arrived Hot and oh my goodness my Turkey Wings were tender, full of flavor and falling off the bones! My Husband loved the Fried Fish. The Macaroni and Cheese was cheesy and delicious, the Corn and Beans were OK and the Yams are good. 5 Stars all around. We will be ordering again to sample the rest of the Food ? I can't figure out how to add a picture of our meals ?

AWFUL!!!!!! I went with some of my buds for some good Soul food and after messing up our order, making us wait 45+ minutes with no apology the food was terrible! I took a bite into my cornbread and it exploded all over the table and was inedible. The collard greens had zero seasoning and were super bland. I will not be taking my business back and will be telling people about this!!!!! I am currently writing this from the toilet, because my stomach has been aching since I tasted it.

Apparently this place closes at 9. We just walked in 40 whole minutes before closing and this guy at the counter goes "UGHHHHHH WOW". We immediately walked out. Have fun closing in 4 months.

Food, especially fried fish, is delectable! Supreme! Large portions, too! Prices as if on Rodeo Drive! But so glad it's in Freeport! Definitely a place for a treat.
