It was a craving at first. Then a couple sides taste like its from out a can. BBQ chicken wasn't cooked well. Was red on the inside. Manager lady is too loud. Let the people eat in peace. Then we the customers are getting played by the prices. Please pay attention to your receipt. Its says $25.99 on the menu but its extra when you look on the receipt. Money hungry and robbing the community. Im done !!!!

I cant believe this place is still open. The food is disgusting. It is absolutely horrible. The yams were burnt and unidigestible. The mac and cheese is just shameful. Turkey were deplorable. I called to complain and the general manager did absolutely nothing! Please do not waste your money. I was i could insert pictures to exactly how disgusting the food looks. Long Island soul food is another option.

I just got some food from here this morning and it was ok mac was good BBQ chicken was ok and didnt like the yams not the taste or the dark burnt parts and i order Banana pudding hated it i guess im used to old school Banana pudding this had just the filling and 2 vanilla wafers and nothing but filling not one Banana didnt like it.

Very nice lounge area also

My boyfriend and I stumbled on this place while looking for somewhere to eat. It was pretty empty when we arrived, which we actually loved. We were greeted warmly, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. We started with warm cornbread, then had the ribs and chicken with mac & cheese and fries—every dish was delicious. Such a great experience, we’ll definitely be back!

In from out of town with my son. We both had the fried catfish, collard greens and Mac-n-cheese. It was excellent!

Sunday brunch with Don Hanson and his live jazz band was terrific. I felt relaxed and appreciated the break from the usual Sunday afternoon routine. The food tasted like my mother's cooking, though it did take a bit of time to be served.

This is not soulfood, has to be caribbean chef, nothing tastes like traditional soul food, fish is bland not even with corn meal. Mac bland and collards aren't good either

Nice, newly renovated place. The owner is friendly and eager to please. We went for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. Service was a bit slow, but there was great entertainment with Songstress Eileen while we waited for the food and drinks. We will definitely return.

I updated this review especially because of the rude response.

We had IDs to prove age which the waitress saw. IDs were provided and alcohol was served. It has nothing to do with those simple things. However, the response from the owner really proves what the customer service is like.

We also cancelled everything. You all did not refuse to do anything, we told you never mind and cancelled.

We really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

We came as a group and ended up waiting nearly two hours for our food. One of the orders was completely missed, and by the time we followed up, it still hadn’t been prepared—so we had to cancel it altogether. Despite being almost the only people there, the service was noticeably slow and inattentive.

When the food finally arrived, it was cold, which only added to the frustration. The customer service throughout the experience was underwhelming at best.

We genuinely tried to support them and hoped for a better experience, but sadly, this will be our first and last visit.

I got the jerk chicken and Fried shrimp combo with collard greens and black eye peas. DELICIOUS!!! Sat with the owner. This is the new spot.....
