Only reason it’s even getting 2 star because the DJ was great but other than that it’s another business that’s going down hill & it actually have alot of potential. Great atmosphere, nice decor , nice music and right by the water but I feel like the owners don’t care enough to read reviews on here . All the 1 star reviews is on point , service is absolutely horrible. Place was dead and server took 20 mins to come up to us to ask us what we’d like to drink. Tacos & Rasta pasta took over 45 mins to come out and it was mid. Food was super pricey as well 15$ for 2 tacos is wild . Last time I had horrible service like this was when I was back home in a 3rd world country , that’s how slow service was . Get new servers with experience, better cook and this will be a much better place to come and hang out at on weekends for sure.

My aunts, my mother and my siblings went today to this restaurant at around 7. We were seated immediately but it took half an hour to get the drinks, around a hour and a half to get the food (and it wasn’t worth the wait) and then plenty of time to get the check too. We actually saw the cook come outside for a drink then itch himself while walking back into the kitchen. 3 tables got up and left in the midst of us waiting for our food.

Me and my partner decided to have a drink at the bar...think of the smallest disposable cups...how did 2 cups of drinks come to 44 dollars plus they expect tip.

Let me tell you something. Lisa and Pete will make sure you have the absolute birthday. Somehow someway they brought out moves I haven’t pulled out in years. The food! They take their time because it is mouth watering. The drinks…. Well the first time I didn’t remember… but the second and third. Let’s just say it’s a good time all the time.

Took 40 minutes to get 2 rum and cokes and the other 3 of us never receieved drinks at all. Bugs in 1 of the 2 drinks we actually got. Tip was included in the bill, and even though it wasn't the servers fault, if we had known, we would have spoken up sooner

The food is great. Them cooks on point. Well seasoned. The menu needs a lil more selections. Only issue I had was sitting outside there was so many nats. I had to go inside. Other people also and the bathroom was dirty.
But I will come back for the food and recommend the place.

Blue Island Restaurant in Long Island is a hidden gem for authentic Caribbean cuisine. The jerk chicken and oxtail are perfectly seasoned, the sides are delicious, and the seafood dishes are fresh and flavorful. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit a treat. Highly recommended!

What a great experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. Good customer service. I had the Salmon, veggies, and rice/peas. I was definitely satisfied. Topped it off with the Bleu Island Rum Punch which was really good. A must try and I will be back.

This place is amazing! The customer service,music,drinks,vibes is top tier!! The food is a little pricey but you get what you pay for so it’s worth every penny. Had a chat with the owner and it’s black woman owned! Which is the best part. Alissa is such a sweetheart and connects with every customer that comes in. 10/10!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this place! I’ve been here twice this week alone and they never disappoint! From the customer service to the food, drinks, and hookah!… everything is amazing and I love it here!

There’s nothing much on the menu just finger food and horrible Rasta pasta
Took almost a hour to get food just for pasta to be cold and the jerk chicken was subpar that came with it waste of $28.
Tried to finish the meal just couldn’t.
The drinks are good but the small little plastic cups give tacky. But if you want hookah that comes out right away but wait time for food was hefty mind you there was only maybe 11 people dining at the time. Definitely wouldn’t go back

Went to this place tonight, it was not what the reviews said. First off they had a birthday celebration with a child playing connect 4 and emptying the connect 4 pieces on the floor every min. If that wasn't bad enough. We ordered and started with appetizers which we got in a timely manner, but our drinks came in a plastic cups, we got better cups for our water than our drinks. If that wasn't bad enough a table that came in way after we got there got served their meal first..... if that wasn't bad enough when my appetizers came out there was no plates to go with it and when I did ask for some they were both dirty.
All the hype and this place is below subpar. It is small, cramped, no ac or ventilation so it was hot, and all the servers looked like I was at hooter. CLASSY, I DONT THINK SO. Trashy is more like it. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
