Food was just ok, service was terrible. Our table was ignored while the table who was right next to us who came after was serviced quickly and before us. Got the managers attention and he was the one who served us while the waitress continued to ignore us. Of course the manager didn't have time to serve us. When I tried to talk to the waitress she said you can talk to the manager. He listened while not even making contact, and out of party of 8 gave us one complimentary glass of wine. The food was overpriced for the quality and the service was terrible. Worst I've ever experienced!!

The owners were great hosts. Food was delicious. Free welcoming shots and the atmosphere was really relaxing with nice music. Electrical smooth sounds with good acoustics just right. Andrew was very accommodating.

TLDR: the manager, Armando, was unprofessional and unpleasant during my uncle’s 70th bday, the food was less than mediocre (you can taste how all the seafood was frozen for a while then cooked and not fresh), and I hope no one gets treated this way especially on their birthday.
Today, Sept 27th, I came here for my uncle’s 70th birthday party. (I am currently leaving the restaurant as i’m typing this). The manager, Armando, did a very disappointing job at helping host the birthday. Everyone was socializing and then we were met with his rude and unprofessional behavior. He treated my entire family with disrespect by treating all of us as if we were a nuisance to him. There was about 25 people in attendance so yes it is a big group, but not disrespectful nor unkind. It can be difficult to get everyone’s attention which is understandable, but the way he handled it made my blood boil. There were elderly people there that cannot hear as well because there’s a good amount of people in attendance and just because of their age. He shouldn’t have acted like someone who hates their job and taking it out on other people. There has been more than one or even two times where he was so rude. The first instance was when he was yelled out the menu and did not give us physical menus which made it difficult for everyone to hear. He was acting as if he’s trying to talk to a classroom full of rowdy high school kids. Another instance was when the main entrees were coming out and he was yelling “who ordered the short rib“ and everyone was confused because it was not on the menu that he had yelled out. He tried to gaslight ALL of us that he yelled that in the menu but alas he did not. Another instance was when my elderly aunt was waiting for her food and he was gaslighting her for changing her order when she did not (I helped her order her food, she did not change it). He was very impatient when taking our orders that he messed up some of our orders and tried to gaslight my family for his mistakes. He was making remarks under his breathe and did not treat us with any decency. I don’t usually make long or negative reviews unless deemed necessary because I’m sure no one would want to get treated with such rudeness like how ARMANDO did to me and my family. I eventually lost my appetite because of how ignorant and snappy he was even though I love eating food. My entire family felt how complacent he was and that’s not an exaggeration. The rest of the actual servers were so patient and kind and I very much appreciate them, not Armando. The food was less than mediocre and only focuses on the aesthetic of the restaurant. They would not be serving seafood that’s been frozen for a while and then cooked if that wasn’t the case. Very disappointing and unprofessional for anyone’s birthday.

Weekend vibes aren’t complete without Catcher’s Fish House in Freeport. The food is always on point, the atmosphere is fun, and the staff makes you feel right at home. If you’re around Freeport, this is the spot for great seafood and good energy. 🍤🍹🔥”

Boy what a disappointment. The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice but that’s pretty much where it stopped. The food was lacking in flavor and quality and where they really fell short was the insane over pricing of their food. I have spent money in restaurants before but if you’re going to charge top notch prices then the food has to be top notch as well and it just wasn’t, like not even close. $30 drinks over priced and $155 for a ribeye steak and one lobster tail!! I’ve gotten way better food for much less. Also they charge an automatic 20 percent tip and then ask you if you want to tip even more?!?! I think tipping amounts should always be left to the customers discretion as everyone does not provide the same service some are better some are worse and to include such a high tip to me is not just not fair and is an absolute rip off. I will not be returning here nor would I recommend this place

Happy anniversary- not when we saw the bill! A pretty location on the canal with outside seating, BUT, the breeze blew the plastic cup filled with water across the table and my hair into the lobster bisque. You’re outside, it happens. $30 per drink just because it was in a scooped out fruit, not worth it. The bisque had no lobster meat in it at all. My husband got one of the specials- twin lobster tails stuffed with crabmeat: $70 for the lobsters AND then $25 for the crabmeat! Tip was included for 2 people? A service charge was also included? And then they kindly included several options for additional tipping! But the worst part of it all was the only dessert they didn’t have that night, was the chocolate cake, my entire reason for selecting the restaurant. Very disappointing.

This place is way overpriced for the quality. The fish was frozen when you would expect it to be fresh, located on the water. Yet it was priced like fresh fish. The menu described the seafood fra diavolo with squid ink pasta, but it came with plain, stale linguini with frozen shrimp and lobster, priced at $65. When we pointed the discrepancy out to our server, she had no response. It was a very disappointing experience, and we will never go back. I cannot recommend this place for anything more than a beer and the nice view of the water.

Highway robbery for cheap ingredients. Ordered the squid ink linguini fra diovolo (no price on the menu - $65 on the bill) and it was served with regular linguini. Asked the waitress and she said it was misprint. That’s a big faux pas. No local fresh food on the menu. Also ordered the fried sole sandwich… fish tasted out of the freezer with wilted lettuce and a sliver of tomato. Glass of Chardonnay tasted old.

We were given molded cheese for our pasta and when we received the initial bill they included a 20% gratuity into the final price! A laughable and pathetic way to run a business!
