The chicken and rice is absolutely top tier — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen feels homemade with real attention to detail. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything comes out fresh and fast.
The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about your experience — which is rare to find these days.
If you’re in Freeport and not eating here, you’re missing out. This spot is a must-visit and easily a 10/10.

I have been to this restaurant a few times with friends and famaliy . We had enjoyed ourselves the food, and service has been on point. The place is clean, got seated right away . Plenty of parking. Prices are good. Portions are good

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Dominican restaurant, and I have to say—it exceeded my expectations in every way.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable without being overbearing. You can tell they take pride in both their service and their culture.

The food was the real highlight. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The rice was perfectly cooked, the beans were rich and well-seasoned, and the meats were tender and full of bold Caribbean flavor. Every bite reminded me of a home-cooked meal made with care. I have given Mi Casa Dominican Restaurant multiple chances, but the experience has been consistently disappointing. Several times I have placed an order, had it repeated back to me correctly, and still received the wrong food.
Customer service is a major problem. The women working there are often rude and dismissive, and when they make a mistake they respond with attitude instead of fixing it. The owner is also very disrespectful and becomes angry when you point out their errors.
For example, I recently ordered a chicken sandwich with only mayonnaise and cheese — no lettuce or tomato. Instead of the sandwich, I was given a completely different meal. When I went back and finally received the chicken sandwich, it was cold and clearly not made fresh. It looked like lettuce had already been placed on it and then removed, because there were still small pieces of lettuce inside. On top of that, there was barely any chicken on the sandwich.
Another issue that needs to be addressed is how customers are treated if they do not speak Spanish. I have personally experienced and observed rude and disrespectful behavior toward customers who do not speak Spanish. It comes across as discriminatory and unwelcoming. Many customers speak English, and everyone should be treated with basic respect regardless of the language they speak.

The only positive thing I can say is that there is one gentleman working there who is polite and actually tries to help customers. Unfortunately, one good employee cannot make up for the repeated mistakes, poor service, and disrespect from management.
After giving this place many chances.

But the flavors are very good. We've only sat at the bar the times we've gone. No complaints. I will definitely be returning. Great bang for your buck.

Also, there is an upcharge for using your credit card, so cash is better, but they will accept your card.

They remodeled so the place looks very nice. Unfortunately the service was disappointing. We ordered a medium well ribeye with yellow rice, and we received a medium rare skirt steak with white rice. In addition, the glass of ice we received for our soda appeared to be dirty. It had particles stuck to the inside of the glass and as the ice melted the water was a murky cream color. The server was nice and the steak was good but the severe mix-up of our meal plus the dirty glass was a huge disappointment.

I Found a very long hair in my food and manager replaced meal with a small plate of chicken and still tried to charge me for the dish with hair and the chicken...
