Service is not good. Went two times and was treated as if we were not worthy. First time at the door to enter girl was extremely disrespectful and rude to my husband and basically looked at us up and down and made some condescending comments. We dismissed because we thought maybe she has a strange sense of sarcasm. When we arrived we tried to order food and was told the kitchen is closed. It didn’t make sense because there still seemed to be time. We came from an event and were mainly looking for food, but was told sorry no food available. However a large group came in about an hour later and they were served. Second time waited over two hours for our food. Saw other tables that arrived get their food, we watched them eat and then saw another table get their food, then watched them eat…and so on… you get it. Seems like you have to know the owners to get good treatment? It’s a shame…I pass, moving on to another establishment… because there are many places out there to dine and have a good time… I’d rather contribute my $ to those places. With such treatment I would not recommend bringing your children here either. Positive..the fried snapper and rice was good… but couldn’t enjoy because we got it over two hours later. Drinks are not good, very basic and nyc high end restaurant pricey, wine is the cheapest quality also for a high price. The American restaurant that was located here was good.. too bad it closed.

The food was great and came out in a timely manner, my drink hands down was the best rum punch I have ever had and I just came from the Bahamas and my waitress hands down a 10 out of 10 .

I went to Mile on the water for my sister's birthday. The staff was very friendly and personable. The live band played classic Caribbean tunes and the vibe was very relaxed. I will absolutely be revisitingVegetarian options: I had a wonderful seafood soup. The soup was fresh and made to order.

J*** chicken and shrimps were great. Awesome drinks. We ordered Rim Punch and LI Iced Tea and it was good. Special compliment to Tracy our waitress. She was friendly, courteous and a warm person. She went above and beyond in the service she provided. Highly recommended!!!

No signs for mile on the water. It was a caribbean restaurant. They are really slow and food is over priced for the servings.

It's now called Caribbean restaurant bar and grill. And rightfully so the food is amazing. We ordered the grilled salmon with mango glaze it was delicious. And the drinks taste like your in the Caribbean. Great restaurant.
