I made a reservation over a month in advance to celebrate my birthday at Prime on the Mile with a party of 35 people, and unfortunately, the entire experience was a major disappointment from start to finish.
We were instructed by the manager to arrive at 12:45 PM for our 1:00 PM reservation, with the promise that we would be seated right away. My entire group arrived promptly, only to find out that the restaurant doesn’t even open until 1:00 PM. We stood outside confused and frustrated—off to a rough start for what was supposed to be a special day.
When we were finally let in, it was clear the staff was completely unprepared for a large party. The tables were dirty, and the glasses were missing—we literally had to go downstairs to the main floor to grab our own. Drinks, which had already been pre-ordered as pitchers, took over 30 minutes to arrive, and the waitstaff had no sense of organization or communication. No one seemed to know what was going on.
To make matters worse, instead of offering a genuine apology or trying to resolve the issues, the managers just pointed fingers at each other and then tried to rush us out like we were the problem. There was zero accountability, no professionalism, and sadly, no effort to make things right.
It’s incredibly disappointing, especially when you want to support a Black-owned business and expect a level of care and hospitality for a milestone celebration. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and work on their service, preparation, and staff training—because the potential is there, but the execution was nowhere close.

Thank you Prime on the Mile for a wonderful evening last night! My husband & I hosted a Christmas dinner party of 17 & everyone was more than satisfied! From the private dining hall, to our menu options (Crab stuffed Salmon, Surf & Turf Prime Burger & Mango Shrimp Skewers), to our wonderful server Danielle, we had a great time. Thank you manager Lee for your attention to our party. Big, big shout out to owner, Bryant Postell for making the plans seamless & easy for us. See you again in a few weeks for EBS & Associates Christmas party!

I went to this place for the first time tonight. I must say it was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had. It took 30 minutes after being seated for someone to finally come ask us if we wanted water, it doesn’t stop there, 10 minutes later a server passes by and saw us sitting there and decides to ask if we were being helped. How thoughtful of her . She was nice enough to take our order. We ordered appetizers only for the time being because we didn’t see anything on the menu that we were interested in. However there is a plus side to this we ordered the raw oysters and jumbo shrimp cocktail which was good. Moving forward we decided to finish our drink and not order an entree , get this we get the bill and there is a gratuity include with tax. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind giving a tip for the servers as they deserve it however to include that themselves for a party of 2 seems ironic I’m not happy with my experience there . Definitely would not be going back. Oh the quickest service we received was paying the check and getting out of there.

Let me tell you this anyone complains about the food or service should be checked on. Went to prime for brunch on Sunday and I was met at the door with a smile I was escorted upstairs to a nice big room and my first drink was poured before I even took my seat. The waitress was attentive and our food came fast. The atmosphere was great as everyone was partying with smiles. The owners came and checked on us and was very welcoming. Will definitely go again .

Sundays brunch at Prime on the Mile was a great experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with great food drinks and of course a vibe. Also you must try the Lamb Chops & Cheesy Grits! Oh and the Rum Punch is A1! I will Most Def return in the summer for the outside brunches😎

Drinks were the bomb. Bartender was dope. The DJ and Vibe was great. But the food was okay at best.... I was very hungry and disappointed. And how they don't have Hookah?? smh. I'd return for the drinks n Vibe but I'll eat first.
Good quality food, great experience! My girls and I went for brunch on Sunday and the DJ was amazing! We all had a great time. Our waitress Maria provided great service. She was super friendly and very attentive. She made our experience great! Overall we had a great time. Would definitely visit again!

Had such a fun time with my girlies at brunch. Music was fun, stayed much longer than I expected to because we were having a ball. I enjoyed the food and drinks. the only thing is our server didn't ask about the lamb, just brought it well done. Lobster roll was so tasty, and the seafood omelet was decent; I didn't expect it to take up the whole plate! I will definitely be back!

Prime on the Mile was a great birthday experience for my partner & I, the atmosphere was comfortable & nice. The food was great & so was the staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dining, birthday celebration, a date, or just a nice classy place to go for dinner. During the summer, I'm sure it's a great vibe with the beautiful views & outdoor seating going on. I give my experience at this restaurant 5 stars. I'll definitely revisit this establishment again.

The place is nice but the place where they sit us was way to small and the price is crazy for just a half chicken and Brussel sprout no other sides you have to add more to the plate and on top of that they keep asking you if you want a refill on your drink but not telling you it’s a charge for that but it was nice that she took it off because I said you have to let people know you just can’t keep asking you want a refill and not say something then on top of that it’s a 18%gratuity that was 21.24 thats not including the tip for 2 people this place is crazy never again thanks for a stomach ache because that’s what I have now

I visited Prime on the mile with my sisters on a Friday night and we had a great experience. As we walked in, the music was loud as there was a DJ but there is seating on their third level which provides a quieter dining experience. Perfect for couples, private dinner or if you would just like to dine and talk to each other. As a restauranteur, I like to try many items so we had jerk lobster roll, lobster ramen, calamari, chicken taco, pepperoni flatbread with honey, fried snapper, chicken wings and they were all just excellent. The drinks will knock you over on round 1 so be aware 😃. The server was extremely attentive and detailed. Definitely look forward to going back soon!
