Nice view of water if that is something you are looking for. Service is what got it 3 stars. Drinks are nothing special, just get sparkling water. One of the pasta plates had a healthy fly in it, thank goodness she noticed it because we came in there ready to eat and was going in. A waiter and I am going to say possibly one of the managers came by and immediately apologized and her got a fresh plate and I believe took it off the check. Nothing to brag about when it comes to the food but that service was much appreciated.
Vegetarian options: My dish is cauliflower
This place has great seafood and drinks with indoor and outdoor seating right on the canal at The Nautical Mile. The service was also on point.
Best food on The mile foods hot drinks are hotter ? Richie Karen and Deb
Great service and friendly as well. The food was delicious?
A great place for lunch or dinner on the Nautical mile in Freeport!
This is absolutely the best restaurant on the Nautical Mile. The food is outstanding. The staff is phenomenal. I've avoided eating seafood for years. Now, the only place I'll have seafood is Rachel's. The Spicy Szechwan Crispy Meatball apps are outrageously good. the Baked Six Onion Soup is decadent. The Chili Seared Tuna Tacos are mouthwatering. The Blackened Skirt Steak and Gorgonzola Sandwich is delectable. They had a tuna dish a few weeks ago, a chili ginger rubbed bluefin tuna with pineapple fried rice, crispy sweet and sour shrimp, wasabi and sweet soy that made me see the world in a new light.
Limited menu but food was very good and service excellent.Stuffed flounder was very good.
Menu has something for everyone. Nice views of the water. Food was good and service was spot on.

Love coming here for dinner and I was psyched about the drag show/brunch! It did not disappoint as the performers were hilarious and the brunch and service were excellent! Loved the teriyaki meatballs and the bananas foster French toast ?
Great food! So relaxing dining om the deck by the water. The stuffed filet with crab meat was amazing. Had the mile high fudge cake for desert too!
The location is really nice. Just as others describe the host is not friendly. He looks angry. He asked if we had a reservation. I asked if we needed one. He turned his back and led us to outdoor seating which was fine. The waiter made up for the host’s attitude. Then came the broiled seafood platter. It was really a salad plate. 2 shrimp, 2 baked baby clams, 2 scallops and a small piece of fish with 2 tablespoons of rice. The food was flavorful but the portion was appetizer size for the price of a full meal. Very disappointed. Everything has gone up but that’s too expensive. They’re taking it too far. Won’t patronize anytime soon.
It has been awhile since I have been there.. don't really ever have to go back.. Nice atmosphere. Ordered a dozen baked clams. Lacked flavor, so small. For $22.00 a dozen I was expecting more then what received. What I got was practically baby clams. An appetizer for the appetizer. The meal itself did not do much for me either. Rachel's has gone down hill.
Went there on a break from caregiving with my daughter who was visiting me for the afternoon. It was such a pleasure to have a seat at a resturant without getting rushed out the door. We had a much needed leisurely lunch. The food was served in all good time, and was delicious. I appreciated a plant based choice on the menu considering it is a seafood kind of town. (Cheese cost extra, not that I had to pay for it and ask to leave it off) Lindsey, our waitress was fantastic and gave us great suggestions and even went the nautical mile to make my daughter's dessert to her special request. I brought my leftovers home to whom I give care to, a high end executive chef, and he ate all of them even in his compromised condition, which to me was nothing short of a miracle. I am craving those leftovers as I type this, but with gratitude I am glad I was able to share them. We will be back for sure. The price was not outrageous. This is Long Island. My meal cost less than the bridge.
