Great staff and fast service! We came with a big group on a Saturday night in October and was not turned away. They quickly put together a few tables for us and the kitchen was open late for some above-average bar food. The food is definitely more sophisticated than other pub type places and the signature drinks were so unique and delicious. I highly recommend it.

Yup. The Hype Machine is really cranked up for The Craft House, which led me to schedule a group dinner for 12 here on Tuesday, November 20th. The Craft House is on the Nautical Mile. Street parking will be ample in the winter but not so in the summer. I bellied up to the bar to enjoy a good Vodka Martini, but it came in a very small non-Martini glass, a pet peeve of mine. The restaurant seated our group promptly, which was easy because the restaurant was empty. A very bad sign which I should have taken as a harbinger of things to come. The Kitchen was SLOW. Apps did not arrive for 55 minutes (in an empty restaurant!!). God forbid if there was a bread basket, or even some crackers, on the table for my fellow diners to nosh on while we were waiting. There was not. I started with the Bacon app. It was, for the most part, like eating balls of fat. Half of the bacon was cooked and half was not. My Burger followed. Though I ordered it medium, it came well done. I could not finish it. Other diners called the Poutine "inauthentic" and criticized its watery "gravy". They called the Fried Oysters "dry" and "cold". Our server was inattentive and hard to find for much of the evening. When she appeared, she appeared eager to leave which was OK with our group because we shared that feeling. The server brought our checks and never asked if anyone wanted dessert. BOTTOM LINE: I have not written this type of negative review in years, but this one is well deserved.

Excellent food last night. Crab cake was amazing. We also had scallops as light bite special. It was the best scallops I have ever had! They have these speciality cocktails! Let the pictures speak for themselves. It was definitely a dining experience, I loved it!

We went to the craft house this past weekend! This cool place is a huge asset to the nautical mile. It's gorgeous inside! We had their special crafted cocktails! Our food was amazing. Dynamite service and music!!! They also have the beer garden across the street! I am a new local in Freeport and they said they are going to be open all year!!! I definitely found my local place.

Hidden gem! This place is fantastic! Wonderful beer selection, something for all tastes. I'm not much of a beer drinker but the mixed drinks are unlike anything I've had before...absolutely delicious! Try “the mile high club” so so good!

Amazing hidden gem of a bar. The beer selection is top notch (well worthy of the name the craft house). I feel like it's probably going to get super popular within the next couple of months/years.

Amazing drinks. Best Amaretto sour I ever had. Food is absolutely delicious. The bacon flight is a must have, so is the Key lime pie mason jar. OMG SO FREAKIN GOOD!

Finally a place on Freeport's Nautical Mile that is worthy of a recommendation. Great food, good selection of craft beers and libations from a true mixologist. Highly recommend and worth a visit and you don't have to wait til summer, go now. And if anyone is wondering what ever happened to Liam, the bartender from Tracks in Penn Station, he is one of the owners, stop in and say hello.

If you trusted me, and you don't, I would say stop reading this and experience The Craft House for yourself!! Anyway. Here comes the review. What a great place. The trendy country decor is as friendly as the staff and manager. A very inviting restaurant and honestly refreshing to see on The Nautical Mile which I had written off as post college drinking town. There's a deep craft beer menu and inventive cocktails. The music selections include Radiohead and PJ Harvey. Just a cool place to hang out. Incredibly the food follows suit. We had a strip steak that was no joke. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. The dessert menu was as interesting as the entrees and we tried the chocolate mousse with grand marnier merengue and it was very unique and tasted excellent. I can't say enough good things about the craft house except you have to experience it yourself!!! Have fun.

Great atmosphere, attentive service, excellent music and best of all a fantastic and different menu. Long list of beers from local breweries. So many interesting choices for appetizers we had a difficult time deciding. We chose the bacon flight, deviled eggs with caviar and three tacos. All excellent choices. The burger and fish & chips we had for dinner were also top shelf. We will be back.

The fabulous trifecta! Warm welcoming neighborhood joint, inventive delicious cocktail menu by the truly gifted mixologist and the most endearing soulful chef that is delighted to spoil you beyond belief. Shrimp and grits from heaven, crispy light fried blue point oysters, house cured bacon tasting. Lovely experience! So much so we came back the very next evening. Welcome to the neighborhood

Exceptional is the only way to describe the bartender and her creations. A true mixologist. The CH burger is fantastic, we'll seasoned and cooked with care and attention to specific requests. The Corn Fritters were light and delicious, while feeling like a full appetizer, not some discount app. Highly recommend coming here before the rush. 4:00 is the perfect time to arrive! Happy eating.
