I loved the beer there. I attended the swing dance nights with my friends. Loved the band Zingology, and the crowd. Truly amazing. I will visit again.
I am giving 3 stars because someone who claims to be part of the band cornered me when I was getting some water and asked me to pay up 20 bucks for me and my friend. Now, I know that the band requested people for $10 each (requested at the end of the swing dance lessons and we weren’t there for that. Naturally I assumed it’s for the lessons). I got suspicious of course (who wouldn’t when they are cornered by a stranger demanding money). I told her I’ll ask my friends and pay up (I didn’t have any cash on me and they wouldn’t take anything else). She then proceeded to accuse me of being racist. I ignored that and paid her later, telling her I didn’t know. She starts shouting at me “get out of my face!” And accuses the only two brown peooel over there of not paying up (the irony). The night was great but one person can ruin the experience. Zingology needs to do something about her (and this whole situation). Just put up a box to collect money like everyone else does!
My favorite brewery in Ithaca! The beer is delicious, and the beef sandwiches and chicken are great and the atmosphere is great!
Great mix of brews plenty of seating inside and out.
Came accidentally to pick up a shirt for a nearby race, the race staff never showed up, the owners did everything possible to contact them. Stayed for a minute and had a beer. It was amazing. It ended up being a "fortunate" mistake.
Came here to pick up race packet and shirt. Somehow the race organizer misinformed everyone and they weren’t here. Stayed for a drink instead and the witbier and cider were great! Chris the owner was very friendly in trying to figure out how to help.
Nothing but good vibes from this place!! Lost my ring here last night, called this morning and they found it and saved it for me❤️💯class act!!! Thank you!!!!
Phenomenal beers! We got to taste each of the beers before picking what we wanted a glass of. Amazing place. Hard to find a brewery this good with that level of service these days. Plenty of outside sitting space as well
Love “The Shire” for live music and the best beer in the area ❣️
We visited for the first time. Absolute amazing place with amazing beers. By far, my favorite brewery in the finger lakes Here’s my breakdown:
Facilities: beautiful grounds that are well manicured with lovely gardens. Large tent and indoor area provided plenty of space for my group. Kid friendly. Dog friendly.
Staff: everyone was so hospitable and welcoming. Smiles and warmness made me feel right at home. I even got talking with the brewmaster/owner Chris and he provided me with a wealth of information that assured me that he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Beer: I wish I could give 10 stars. I was so impressed with their beers. There wasn’t one that disappointed me. I’m pretty sure I tried all of them but the Ojala (Mexican Lager) was out of this world. Smooth, balanced and soooooo tasty.
I can’t wait until next time I pass through so I can grab a bunch of cases. Highly recommended brewery with delicious beers, outstanding staff and beautiful setting. Even got to see a killer sunset from the brewery.
Bravo ? ???
Interesting changes since new ownership (loyal patron since opening). Called and left a message to order two kegs for a party and asked for a call back. No one called back, not a huge deal - called again and spoke to presumably the owner, took down 2 keg order on Sunday said to pick up Wednesday. Drove there Wednesday, bartender can’t find order documented anywhere - owner Chris had “just left” will be right back. Wrote down my name and number and the situation and asked bartender to have him call me upon his return. End of night still no call back - called Hopshire same bartender answered -
Said oh, he got busy… he was going to try to maybe call tomorrow…. That’s a sad ending to me going to and buying kegs from Hopshire - back when Randy ran it my wife would text and kegs were ready within an hour - shame to see it convert to just plain bad customer service with a new owner
