Visited for the first time in 30 years.
Chewy bagels are so delicious!
There are so many types that I get confused.
The photo shows sesame baked, normal cream cheese, and salmon.

Received the wrong order even after confirming order standing right at the cashier. No amount of nice makes up for not getting what you pay for

Lady behind the counter was very sweet.

I ordered a ham egg and cheese and I received one slice of ham on the sandwich. It was the emptiest struggle sandwich I’ve ever been served. For $8 I’d expect more. Won’t be coming back. They should really not be so cheap with portions. There’s a Pantonos bagels next door and they aren’t stingy.

One of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had. The French vanilla iced coffee is definitely a treat. The cashier lady was extremely nice and helpful aswell.

Was in garden city and wanted to do a quick breakfast . There were few coffee shops but the breakfast there was expensive. .went to bagel man and it was good . Not that crowded when we went . We all had various bagels with cream cheese .. and it was good . Wish they toasted it more but it tasted good overall… service was good . Always smiling and greeting us . They had few tables inside and few outside to sit and eat . Parking is a bit difficult. Road side parking is tough. Good experience overall.. 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food left much to be desired honestly. I went with my bf and we both ordered 2 different sandwiches. I had ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and he had ordered the chicken cutlet Supreme sandwich. First off the price of the chicken sandwich was a whopping 10.99 and it was about as big as a whopper Jr from burger king. The quality of the sandwich was extremely poor, the chicken was clearly from the day before, the quality of the lettuce and tomato were poor and they had missed the cheese and bacon that were advertised with the sandwich. It also came with a tiny portion cup of a side and a tiny individually bagged pickle wedge. As our side we chose the rice pudding but unfortunately we both tasted it and we both strongly believe this is straight up Kozy Shack rice pudding being offered. The overall experience of the food as well as how much we were getting for our dollar, and its very apparent that this establishment over charges very much so for low quality food. Now as for the bacon egg and cheese, it was not anything worth writing home about, but the size of the sandwich was on the smaller side, and for about $10 as well it seemed very expensive and not worth the money. They say you live and learn and with this experience and the expectation we had with the location of this business, we expected some good food but we just left disappointed we had spent $20 dollars on such small portions. I wouldn't recommend this place after this experience

Wow! Nicest staff ever. Lots of good bagel options and they will put anything on a bagel! Very pleasant place to go for breakfast or lunch.

Been coming here for years, great group of employees and the owner is a great guy, as far as I'm concerned this is the only Bagel store in town and it's the original one from over 35 years and still going strong !

Vegetarian options: Great Vegetarian options too many to list. Ken the owner is a lifelong Vegetarian btw...

A great many times I have been here since being transferred to my jobs garden city location during the height of Covid . Rude, curt and nasty. Go to My three sons deli and bagel on Franklin avenue if you’re in the area and want quality overall. Anyone can mess up any order but being downright nasty when someone says hello to you is uncalled for. Bagel man should be renamed something they probably won’t let me put up here. Also overpriced and underserved for the skimpy food and gross attitude.

As someone notoriously selective and meticulous about their food preferences, and how it's prepared I can confidently say that Bagelman exceeded all my expectations with my breakfast sandwich this morning. Picture this: a perfectly toasted everything bagel, with four thin slices of savory boars head cooked ham, American cheese, and butter on one side, all pressed to golden perfection like a gourmet panini :) Yep! this was my request and believe it or not many local bagel shops fall short. BUT, Bagelman understood the assignment- earning a solid 10/10! Not only did they meet my stringent standards, but they surpassed them without a doubt, I'll be ordering again and you should order too! Def recommend!

I like being able to support local businesses while traveling. Bagelman is great! Fantastic bagel sandwich! Perfectly toasted, fluffy eggs, and make sure to order extra crispy bacon! The woman at the counter was super helpful and friendly. Customers are obviously regulars and also have great attitudes. Coffee is solid and piping hot! Really reasonable prices.

Great bagels and super nice people! I’m a native New Yorker who lives in Chicago and was in the area for work. Went to Bagelman for lunch and had a delicious bagel with cream cheese and lox. I left as they were closing for the day so they offered me a free bagel or two for the road since they make new ones fresh each morning. When I told them I was flying home to Chicago and that my family loves New York bagels, they loaded me up with a free big bag of them to take home with me. My family has been enjoying them all week! Customer service at its finest, and a great quality bagel!

I came here on lunch and it was a HUGE mistake.I specifically said LIGHT mayo because I cannot eat a large amount of mayo. They smothered the sandwich in mayo it was so terrible.I also had to wait 25 mins for a basic turkey sandwich. The cashier was friendly but the staff were all over the place very chaotic. This is the worst place on 7th street. Will never go back!
