I joined 2 friends for brunch. They were already seated when I got there. It took forever to get a server to bring me a menu and order a drink. The service never got better. After what seemed like a 10 minute wait for my drink, it finally arrived. No smile from the server, no nothing. I had steak and eggs. It came with a small order of fries. I have to admit, their food is quite good. The steak was cooked medium rare, the eggs were fresh tasting and the fries were hot. If the service had even come close to the food quality this could have been a 4 or 5 star review. Lastly, our table was never bussed. Our dirty dishes were still on the table after the check had been taken care of. 5 stars for the food, less than 0 stars for the service.

Food was good and service was good The hostess was RUDE. Three of us were there an hour and 15 minute had drinks appetizer and dinner. We were paying the check and finishing our drinks when the hostess (older short woman) said we were holding her up. We understand they have to turn the tables over but there were at least 2 open tables. Really disappointing.

My friends and I went on Friday night before St. Patrick's day for corned beef and cabbage. Corned beef was sliced thin and was lean and tasty.

BK Sweeney's is a popular Long Island bar located in Garden City that offers classic American bar fare. During my recent visit, the 'BKS Angus Steakhouse Burger' stood out as a winner for me. It was perfectly cooked, though the fries were a bit bland. However, the service wasn't great - our waitress not only ignored us throughout the entire meal, but also forgot to bring out all three of our appetizers. When we raised it to her attention, she asked if we wanted to take them to-go...who would ever want to get charged and take them to-go? We ended up canceling them entirely. You might be curious about my 4-star rating for this restaurant. Despite this recent hiccup, my previous visits to BK Sweeney's were issue free. I believe it is not fair to penalize the entire business for the actions of one waitress. I'll definitely be returning soon to give it another go.

Waitress was slow to take our order. French onion soup was good, fish tacos were salty, and over cooked. They need to do something with their billing system, they incorporate the credit card charge in the total price, and you have to figure out the difference. If paying with cash and not paying attention, you are paying more for your food. This adds up for the restaurant.
