We had a big party of 17 and the service was excellent. The staff accommodated the large group and our waitress. Melanie was superb. The food was delicious and we did not have to wait considering our large group.

I truly enjoy good bar b qued food especially ribs. so yesterday I drove to Garden City and bought 2 full racks of the Smok Haus ribs. There were 4 of us for dinner and after reading their reviews on tripadvisor we were all looking forward to a nice meal. Unfortunately that nice meal never happened. First the good news: the ribs were meaty. Now the not so good news: the meaty ribs were not very good and considering the cost they were not worth half the 100 dollars I paid for the 2 racks. I never have a problem spending money for good food and that is why I refer to Tripadvisor as a guide when searching for a restaurant that serves good food. Unfortunately my party of 4 strongly disagree with many of the people who reviewed this restaurant. I won't review the sides because they were just okay. my primary concern was the Smok Haus ribs, The first word I used to describe their ribs was "MEALY" . I know what very good ribs taste like and the word mealy is not it. Then my son came up with the perfect comparison...As he consumed his first rib he said "Texas Roadhouse"' We all agreed, the Smok Haus ribs were an expensive version of the ribs served at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant which is why we no longer go to that restaurant for ribs anymore. Note: My review is limited to their ribs.

First, the five star part of the review: The Brisket. Perfectly smoked. Juicy and tasty. Didn’t need any of the sauces. Picked veggies on the side were crunchy delish. Four stars to rest of the meal. Porchetta was less of a hit than the brisket. Nice and fatty, but parts of the meat were over cooked. Expected better. Collard greens and corn side dishes were ok, nothing great. Servers were mostly young and inexperienced, but all engaged with trying to please the customers. Solid four stars. Now the bad part, the bees. We were seated in a lovely little outdoor spot behind the restaurant. Bees were literally feasting on the food and drinks. Some people chose to move inside. We toughed it out, but really, it wasn’t a pretty sight watching bees come join the feast and seem to enjoy the meat as much as we did. Lol. Might be a little unfair to say all this. I really liked the place, have gotten take out before and will do so again without reservation.

This is not our regular BBQ place but we wanted to try somewhere new. I saw this on TripAdvisor and in LI dining FB. It was also hailed as the best BBQ in Nassau County for 2021. They did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely come back.

I've had smoked meats all over the country. A good number of my reviews are for BBQ places all over the US. The pink ring and char on smoked brisket along with the mean to fat ratio are my main measures of a BBQ place. I got my order to go via Grubhub and since I am in a hotel also checked the box for plasticware. First fail - nothing to eat my food with came with my order. Second fail - the food came late. Knowing full well that everything was already made, it just needed to be put in a container and delivered. Third fail - the brisket was meh. The best piece was the top of the pile almost as if they were trying to hide the rest of the meat underneath. Decent char and some pink with a little fat, but that fat was mostly cooked down from the smoking and it was very flavorful The rest of the meat underneath lacked any smoke ring, char and worst of all; it was very fatty. It also wasn't the kind of fatty that adds flavor to the meat; it's the kind of fatty that says it was not a very good cut and they didn't cook it long enough to cook the fat out. It was too marbled to begin with and was just inedible unless you like that kind of stuff. I'm reminded of the old Pace picante sauce commercial where the cowboys find out it was made in New York City and decide to hang the cook. This BBQ reminded me of that commercial. If this is your only BBQ, then it might be ok. If you happen to head anywhere South such as St. Louis, Kansas City, Memphis, and pretty much any part of the Carolinas or Texas and have a chance to have real BBQ, you won't want to eat this again. I know I don't.

Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak & PBLT sandwich. Loved the Smokey brisket. That might be the smokiest brisket I’ve ever had. I will come back just to order by the pound. The PBLT was just ok although the extra Alabama white sauce I asked for on the side really helped a lot. The place itself smells like cherry and hickory wood burning in the air. Yummy smell. Never fully appreciated that the type of wood really has such a big effect on the meat.

After going to dozens of bbq joints I find no need to venture any further! The best bbq anywhere, period! Ribs & wings with a few fresh brews & I'm set. Thanks Manny! See you soon.

Great find in Garden City NY. My wife has ciliac and I am gluten-sensitive and all their smoked meat is gluten free. The atmosphere is casual and the servers are friendly and attentive without being invasive. We had their excellent Paper Plane cocktail which is incredibly smooth. Then the wings with dry rub and Alabama sauce - absolutely perfect. We split a 1/2 rack of rlbs which were delicious and satisfying. Very reasonable prices and highly recommended.

driving thru garden city i just got a glimps of smok-haus so i decided to go in ,the place was nice but small ,clean and everybody was very friendly,i went for take-out and the server was very good and i told him this place is hidden and i almost drove right by it and he said they think of it as a hidden gem,he was not kidding, this was the best bbq ive ever eaten hands down and ive been to many places thru th u.s. and europe so lets start with the ribs....fall off the bone, great flavor that i cant pinpoint how they get it like that with and without sauce, next was the brisket, mmmmm, tender with flavor nice and black on the outside, wow, then mac and cheese...ok and the beans were really good.i was there on saturday at 12.30pm on 3-6-21,oh and one more thing the server ran into the parking lot to give me the beans that they forgot to put in the bag, who does that ? you now have a life customer and a big 10 for the score....keep up the good work .....ken and myra morrison
