I attended a party in the private room (basement). And that's what it looked like, a finished basement. Definitly not conducive to a party atmosphere.

Nice restaurant, not too noisy. Food was good. Server messed up my order but was very polite, admitted her and fixed it instantly.

The Italian food on Long Island is always a highlight and this place is as solid as it comes. A modern take on traditional Italian cuisine with an incredible wine selection. Plenty of parking, very clean with excellent service. Great date spot or lunch/dinner with friends.

Super friendly server, delectable Arancini, and my pasta was top notch. My drink was pretty good too. I am quite pleased. I will be back.

You *have* to try their meatball sliders. Those are grandma-level meatballs! As an Italian, this place gets my stamp of approval. Absolutely wonderful experience and a professional staff to boot.

Delicious!
Everything was so tasty, fresh, and authentic-tasting. I love the play on nachos with the Italian nachos and I enjoyed my Cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe dish. I wish the sausage pieces were a bit bigger, as it looked like the ground sausage was broken up a bit too much for my liking.
The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and the staff was very attentive and friendly. My only minor complaint is that small gnats and flies kept bothering us during our meal which was pretty annoying. Hopefully that was only a one-time summer issue.
Overall, I am looking forward to coming back to try some of their other menu items!

Everything was great and all, besides the fact that all options were unhealthy and you had to make a special order becasue the amount of sauces and stuff. Really enjoyed it thiugh and the service was impeccable .

Novita nails it on all fronts. The food? Delicious. The wine list? A dream, tons of options for any wine lover to swirl, sniff, and sip happily. But what really made the night unforgettable was the service. Our server a short-haired brunette with a smile that could light up the room was flawless. No notes, no mistakes, just a pure pro. Attentive, warm, and clearly passionate about making our night special. I hope the one who picked up the bill at our table tipped her like the Queen she is. She earned every cent.

Joe Petta, one of my former students from my earliest days of teaching at St. John's University, treated me to a night at Novita. Originally, we had planned for an evening closer to campus in Queens at a place with which I was familiar. However, I was game for trying a new venue, and was not disappointed in the least. Great atmosphere, extraordinarily attentive service - kudos to Novita for hiring our exceptional server Steve, and delicious food. Joe had the salmon which he said was savory and cooked at the perfect temperature. I had the chicken parmigiana and took a risk because I know sometimes this dish can be too loaded with bread and little meat. That was not the case at Novita. Healthy piece of chicken with right amount of seasoning and breading. Desserts were quite tasty, too. Joe had the cannoli and I had the chocolate/vanilla gelati. Great evening. So grateful I said yes to expanding my culinary range!

We went there on a busy Friday evening, the vibe was good, the server was amazing, however the lack of options kind of surprised me. My friend is vegetarian, and they didn't seem to have a basic dish like eggplant parm. The food was very good in taste, but the pasta menu was very limited (in my opinion). After dinner, we got Tiramisu for dessert, which was again amazing, but they didn't have any tea options, just two options for tea. So we ordered decaf cappuccino. My friend is lactose intolerant, so she asked for almond milk, but again, they didn't have anything other than regular milk.
Of course, these are very minor things, but we paid over $100.00 for our dinner, and Novita is considered a very good restaurant when looking at the reviews, so it's just a little surprising that the menu was so limited.
