Have been to Osteria Morini several times over the past year, and overall my experience has been great! Servers and hostesses recognized me by face by about the 2nd or 3rd visit, and the manager Corinna was an amazing presence to be around, which made me want to go back more and more!My wife and I decided to book a private room for family and close friends for and event just before memorial day weekend, and after our first experience speaking with Corinna, both us and her were excited to have this dinner! Corinna was also very accommodating to our dietary needs every time we went back, making sure to have meats replaced in dishes with vegetarian options (even if it normally wasn’t an option offered). She always made time to come and say hi to us, no matter how busy she was, and made us feel like family every time!On the day of our event, we were accommodated by Corinna and her staff, who let us come to the restaurant early (when the first half of our event ended earlier than expected). Corinna met our family and closest friends with LITERAL open arms, even giving my father a hug once we introduced him to her! She (and 2 other servers) made sure everyone’s cups were filled with beverages and everyone’s plates were refilled with great food! (More on the food later on). Corinna offered us champagne “on the house” so that we could toast our special occasion, which was a very nice gesture that everyone enjoyed. We all left after nearly 3 hours of food and drink, with no one complaining of being “too full” and with smiles on our faces! The food is very good, authentic Italian cuisine. Dishes are served hot, with nice portion sizes and a good taste. Their Negroni is my favorite drink to have when I’m there, and has just the right taste for someone who doesn’t want a sweet drink, but doesn’t want to have their liquor “straight”. Osteria uses pasta straws, which at first thought seems disgusting but when you realize that the straws last 2 hours in cold liquid, there’s no worry to use it. The pasta straws are a very clever way for an Italian restaurant to be eco friendly, and is detail oriented enough for me to truly appreciate.Osteria Morini provides great service, with near perfect Italian cuisine. Corinna is a great manager, who knows how to make patrons feel welcome. Prices aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for!

As a couple, my wife and I tend to try different food from different restaurants. And, Morini has become a favorite of ours during the years. We would recommend friend and family, and they would find it to be excellent. Our anniversary was today and decided to do it here. I would recommend this place for great food and service.

Great food, great waitress, terrible general manager. We had dinner at this restaurant on the Friday after Thanksgiving with our toddler, and had a rental toy car stroller from the mall. The manager asked us to put the stroller outside because it was “blocking the door” and we agreed. However, when we were done with dinner, the toy stroller was GONE. We asked the waitress if by any chance someone at the restaurant saw the stroller and she said the manager would come over soon. It took a LONG time for the manager to show up with a FAKE smile and superficial apologies (insisting he was just doing his job because it was a “fire hazard” - com’n, the door opens outwards and the stroller wasn’t blocking anything). The most INSULTING part was he offered a few dollars in his hand, as if he was dealing with HOMELESS people - I don’t think he understood how bad an experience it was for us. The mall was packed on that day and I literally waited for hours to get that stroller (by asking other parents if they were leaving soon because every returned stroller was immediately taken). I was very happy when we finally got one and planned to continue to use that after dinner. While the manager believed we were just being Karen or wanted a few dirty dollar bills the entire time. Please, when a customer wants to talk to you, even if it’s a small thing for you yet maybe they really need your help. It kinda ruined our evening and we went straight home afterwards. I don’t think we are ever going back even when we went there a few times in the past and enjoyed the food, because there’s good food everywhere and this is not how hospitality works.

The food at iOsteria Morini was superb I think the menu is a little limited and I wish there were more choices That is the reason we only go there every 6 months or so. The atmosphere is interesting but not worthy of the prices. It's too much like a bar. If the place were a little more elegant and the location not in a mall I would be a regular. Also, the service was okay but not terribly professional
Pasta is fresh and the sauce is like mama used to make. The noise level is a little high. But...This is a good place to come for a business related lunch or dinner while traveling in the Garden City NY area.
Atmosphere is wonderful and service was good. Mafalde ribbon pasta was freshly made and texture of pasta is great. Shrimp can be better quality and overall it was ok. Calamari was way overcooked and spicy pomodoro had no taste.

Very nice ambiance and quiet. Went for restaurant week. Expected a better deal. $39 price fixed. I ordered the Branzino which i didn't notice on the menu was $5 more. The branzino was on the small side and came with nothing except some cabbage. I also had the Caesar salad which was delicious. For dessert i ordered the gelato in vanilla. Someone came out from kitchen and said vanilla was soft. I said like soup he said no. I said let me try it. Was supposed to be 3 scoops was only one and wasn't bad. They never offered to bring out 2 more scoops. My husband ordered as appetizer the meatballs which he liked. For main he ordered chicken parm which was huge but not enough sauce and came with no vegetables or pasta. They would have been better off with smaller portion and pasta. He had chocolate gelato. After looking at regular menu i noticed the veal parm was $48 which is ridiculous. Would not Go back.
The food was near inedible. The benefit they had with us was the fact that we hadn't eaten all day. The food was so over salted it hard to taste any other principle flavor.Every dish was a salt bomb. The servers, while nice are not the most attentive. But to be clear, the service wasn't the true problem, it came down to the food.

I didn't eat there but we were drawn into the friendly atmosphere after leaving the mall. The ambiance is quaint and fun. The staff welcomed us to do a walkthrough and explore ideas for an event. We spotted a nice semi private area that opens out to the patio that will do just fine for 30-40 ppl. It's just an adorable place and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu choices are Mediterranean and include a Bronzini . Usually healthy fresh ingredients...can't go wrong. ☺️?

This was my first time at this restaurant. I had heard nothing but good things about it. I was so disappointed..The menu was very limited. And when we asked about it, they explained that it was their slow season. I get that.Let's begin with the bread. My girlfriend who tried it first said it tasted strange. I tried a piece and I thought it was fine. Then when I tried another piece I knew exactly what she was saying. It wasn't even a stale taste but almost like a mold taste. It was bizzare. And it was hard as well. Couldn't quite figure it out.Two of us including myself got the BRANZINO 38. The fish was extremely salty and the fish was floating in oil. My gf could not finish hers unfortunately because it was just too much oil. I tried to finish mine because I did not want it to go to waste. Honestly it wasn't easy. We also ordered the SPAGHETTI 21pomodoro, basiland meatballs +10 additional $ for meatballs. The SPAGHETTI was good, I thought. Sauce was also yummy. Sadly, the meatballs were also salty. So salty, that we ate only a half one and left the rest. We did mention the salt issue to the waitress, not to get any $ back but just as a courtesy. I was surprised to read on our way out that Bill Dorrler is the executive chef. I know hes not the one doing the cooking, but I believe he oversees the quality control. Its needs to be tweaked for sure. Its not the first time I've been to a restaurant that uses salt as a magic ingredient thinking it makes everything taste good. It doesn't BTW! I would not recommend this restaurant I'm sorry to say.

Came in for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner on a Saturday night and had an incredible time. It was typically packed out for a Saturday, but no part of the experience suffered—both service and food were excellent. Our server Sofia and manager Mark made sure our special night was perfect. Between 5 of us we were able to sample a large part of their menu, including many appetizers and desserts, and everything we had was excellent. Their meatballs and Cappelletti pasta continue to be among my favorite restaurant dishes. Awesome spot that really elevates Italian over other typical places on Long Island. Great place.

I stopped in a while back after walking 10,000 steps in the mall to try it out, good looking restaurant.I was impressed by the place and the quality of ingredients on my meat and cheese platter, ALL Top notch. I fell in Love. All the times I’ve been there, I’ve always had very good and friendly service.Once I was there and the Manager Ariel, saved the day with her wine selection. Turns out she is a sommelier. She was informed I wasn’t that happy with the glass of wine I had ordered. Not only did we have a fantastic bottle of wine that night, but we also got an education about wine, she’s great.Never disappointed with anything that came out of the kitchen, again very good ingredients, prepared well.We go at least twice a month.

We’ve been here many times and have had a great experience. However, tonight the service was abysmal to say the least. Aside from Chris, who was the most friendly of the staff (he was a delight and even got me a wine glass with a stem when I asked), we felt neglected by the rest of the staff. We had to wave someone down to ask for water and another glass of wine. We also asked for Parmesan with our meal and the waitress looked with a blank stare as if she couldn’t care any less. Within 10 minutes of having our meal, someone from the waitstaff asked us if we wanted take home bags. We told him we were still eating and conversing and he just laughed and walked away. We felt like they were trying to tell us to leave the establishment. We were the only table in our section and there couldn’t have been more than 3 additional tables occupied in the whole restaurant. At one point there were at least 3 staff at the front just talking amongst themselves and 3 near the register, not far from our table also seemingly distracted - none of whom were attentive towards us.We are a fan of the Alta Marea restaurants but we will likely not come back to Osteria Moroni Long Island. We will not recommend this place to our friends or family either.
