Fun bar. Always draws a crowd watching Liverpool games. Guinness is good. Food is good. Look forward to next time.

Ordered a schweinhochsen which looked like a turkey leg that was fried. The spatial was gray looking but the beer was great.
If I go back, it'll be for snacks and beers.

Attended a DJ night at Prost, super relaxed bar atmosphere with German flair. Was still as quiet as you’d expect for a Wednesday night, but the service was friendly and the food wasn’t half bad. Great selection of German beers and Brats.

Even though I don't drink alcohol I fell into a facebook group that my boyfriend belonged to when we first started dating called 8 O'Clock Shot. The people in the group are cool about me drinking coffee, OJ & Seltzer and N/A beers and I'm cool with the fact that they drink, overall they're a pretty good group of people.

Last night Tom Perrone a member of 8OCS hosted his first ever vinyl night in Nassau County at Prost. Usually he hosts Vinyl nights in Patchogue at TwoMorrow's Pub. Sometimes he'll host other vinyl nights or afternoons at different locations. So my boyfriend and I were able to go.

One of the good things I appreciate about Prost is that it's a bar/restaurant. So if there's something going on and I need to bring my son I'm safely able to do so. I wouldn't bring my 9 year old to just a bar but if it's a bar/restaurant there's nothing wrong with bringing him if I had to.

We didn't get a chance to have any food, maybe one day on one of our future visits we will.

I had an OJ & Seltzer and a Clausthaler N/A beer. My go to N/A beer for drinking at home has been Athletic Brewery N/A beer but I had a Clausthaler once before at the American Hotel Bar in Sayville and Clausthaler is a good flavorful N/A beer. My boyfriend chose to have a liter of Miller Lite I think.

Hanging at Prost was a good time, one of the bars in Garden City that I would suggest checking out!

I had the sauerbraten cheesesteak, which was moist, tender, and delicious. It came with potato pancakes and cinnamon-apple sauce. The service was great at lunchtime. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

Our family enjoys trying German restaurants and decided to try Prost. What a mistake. They had a loud obnoxious band that was so loud that the hostess could not even communicate with us. We left and were disappointed by the clueless management decision. Too bad, because the online menu was the reason we drove an hour to get there.

Upon walking to the front door on a fathers day eve, we were greeted immediately by noise, not music, from a band. Opening the door, the noise became untolerably loud. We made our way to the hostess station with stressed shoulders, an instinct almost to shroud oneself from the terribly loud noise. We expressed immediately to the poor waitress and hostess that the band is too loud, to which they agreed! We then turned around and left. What a shame that the management would be so drunk to think that a loud band INSIDE a closed doors restaurant is a good idea. The waitress' tips shall most definitely be lesser today, as we left the establishment, it was sad to see many empty seats inside anyway. Shame on the management.

Besides the Clasico game, vibes were good. HOWEVER… your host/server needs to be trained and to be professional and instead of being disrespectful and petty and asking for more of a tip, she needs manners. We had a $300 check in which 1. We were constantly being pressured to pay already, so one person put his card and tipped $15. She came back through the check and said “no I ain’t getting $15 on a $300 check” and left. It was rude, unprofessional and poor of her. To then go to our friends in the bar and tell them your friends are cheap. Cash was going to be left as a tip so before assuming and acting like that, she should focus more on acting like a decent human. For that, she’s getting less than what she was going to get in cash.

I was hoping for better. Big number of beers to choose from but not cold. 2 German beers were flat. Disappointing. Food wasn’t any better. Unremarkable wurst but good kraut.

To begin, Each table in the restaurant has a QR code and some people in our party ordered using it. Our server came over and seemed annoyed that we used that method of ordering and it created confusion for us. We then waited for the server to take our order.

When we got our first round of drinks but
it took forever to get a second round. Our server wasn’t attentive. The restaurant was practically empty so it simply got annoying. Every time we needed something we would have to ask another server or bus person to get our server.

Towards the end of our dining experience, it became very apparent that our server didn’t care how our table was doing. So we had to ask the bus person for our check. Just like that our server magically appeared and informed us that she didn’t charge us a gratuity for our table. We decided to tip 15% for the lack of service but still being fair. To our surprise, our server came back and demanded a bigger tip. She essentially said to tip the 20% that she didn’t include in the bill. A real shakedown.

Very shocking behavior from someone who checked on us two times in the 2 hours we were there, had a lack of enthusiasm, and genuinely made us feel like we were bothering her.

Hey, but at least the food and atmosphere were good though.
