Had a special dinner planned with friends from out of town which turned into a memorable moment, unfortunately not for the best. Picked True Food Kitchen because on paper the menu looked very tasty and diverse for both our friends and our kids. We made a reservation for an early dinner on a Saturday and when we arrived, the dining room was pretty empty. We were hungry after a long day and got to ordering. We had some questions which our waiter was gracious to answer and point out some of the highlights of menu. But shortly after, it turned into a very long game of waiting. It seemed like even though we arrived early in the dinner rush, since we were a table of 8, we saw tables sat after us getting water and food before us. The most frustrating part was we waited patiently but it was about an hour before we finally got a full set of utensils (half of us didn't have silverware), cups of water (even after our 2 hour dinner, still not everyone got water they had asked for so everyone was dying of thirst), and our meals. We didn't order anything particularly crazy. Some drinks, kids meals and burgers. Some of the food tasted ok but some also were pretty bad. Jambalaya didn't have much taste, and the apple lemonades didn't taste much of apple at all. One burger was cold and got sent back to the trash. Thankfully they removed it from our bill. The ambiance overall was nice and thankfully it wasn't too loud so we were able to catch up and chat. Our waiter tried, but not even getting our waters and lacking silverware was not a great experience.
Love love lovee...my fav place. Great food ambience and best of all...no seed oils...healthy love
The food at True Food Kitchen is absolutely excellent, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the service completely let down the experience. Our server was rude, inattentive, and seemed more interested in chatting with coworkers than attending to our table. We had to flag down staff multiple times for even basic requests. It’s a shame because the food deserves so much better service.
The best I can say about this experience is that it was fine. Food was decent, drinks were tasty. It was nice that they had so many gluten free options. Service was awful, slow even though there were only 3 other tables seated in an otherwise empty restaurant. Staff was rude and not knowledgeable about the menu. All of them looked miserable and unapproachable. Our server in particular made us feel like she'd rather be anywhere else and like we were annoying her, though we asked for very little and had pretty basic menu questions. And then at the end she got uncomfortably pushy about us leaving a review on inKind. I had asked her if there was anything they could do for my aunt for her birthday and I was met with an annoyed attitude, and then even though I described my aunt's distinct appearance and that she was sitting in the middle of the bench seat, she still handed the birthday plate to the wrong person. This was after waiting almost 20 minutes for a single piece of cake. They also brought 2 and charged us for one of them? They also charged us for cheese that never made it to the sandwich. It wasn't worth it to us to fight about it and wait forever for a resolution, since the whole experience was already painfully slow, so we just paid the check and left. We were just over it and couldn't wait to get out of there. I don't think I'd go back, but my aunt enjoyed her noodle bowl and espresso martini and had a nice birthday brunch so that's all that mattered to us. But as a former restaurant worker, the management there definitely needs to teach their staff that FOH body language and manners are just as important as the food.
I came here yesterday with my mom and brother To start off they ordered all of our stuff in one shot so I wasn't use to that Next we waited fourty minutes just for our drinks and appetizers we almost left Next our dinner they didn't come back around to give us utensils or to check on us we had to flag down two different server from our own just for basic needs She never asked us for refills again we had to tell the server On top of all this she checked on us once in the beginning and once at the end and at the end I had to flag her down for the dessert menu Then dessert she gave my brother the carrot cake which wasn't vegan that was supposed to be for my mom My dessert told her to take the whip cream off because I'm allergic to coconut and she didn't I had to ask her twice until she finally did it This was not worth spending 160$ We almost got up and left twice On top of all of this she put us next to the kitchen when we asked the host and her for a quiet spot really upset and annoyed The host was awful his name was Johnathan and our server was awful her name was Elizabeth I don't mind paying my bill which I did and the saving grace was the food that was really good I WILL NOT COME BACK! What was supposed to be a birthday celebration tradition was awful we will find somewhere else to eat and on top of everything they didn't even sing happy birthday for my brother and mom when I put it in the comments
Very expensive for very small portion sizes.

Food was absolutely delicious with the perfect portion sizes! The wait staff was so kind and helpful. This is my new favorite restaurant and you can’t beat the clean ingredients.

A DELICIOUS, healthy, and DELIGHTFUL experience as always at True Food Kitchen's Garden City location. LOVE the food and service. It was the perfect compromise for meeting with my friend who is vegan given I am not. No compromise on flavor though. TFK has some of the best recipes, including their dips, dressings and sauces AND they have organic alcohol. You HAVE to check it out for yourself!!!
Extremely disappointed with the service and food quality. If I could give 0 stars for service I would. We have ordered out from here since they opened and have never had issues until the last couple of months. The past 2 times we ordered from here via the true food app and then uber eats and both times they ran out of items and they did not have the decency to call us and let us know the item was not available. Instead we found out only when the ordered arrived with items missing and they “took it off the bill” because they ran out but they couldn’t call us to ask for a replacement item. The portions have always been normal sized and we have never had an issue but this time the portions were substantially smaller and the manager was arguing with us that everything is portioned out properly. The teriyaki bowls came so small with just a bunch of carrots and barely any rice. The poke bowl was barely enough food for a children’s meal for $30 and came in plastic food containers. When we asked if we could come back to get a replacement or something Donnie the manager said we would need to place a new order and pay for it….. He was fighting with my wife over the phone about everything. It’s astonishing that a restaurant charging these prices could have a manager with such little regard for guests and no sense of hospitality

I’ve visited 2x in the past month or two. The food is consistently good! No complaints there. However, the service is SUPER SLOW even when it appears there is no more than 10 tables and about 4-5 main servers.
The first time I came - it was a weekend and evening but it was not packed at all — and service was slow. And, I did not appreciate the server after taking forever to taking the order after we sat down (20 minutes or so!), then ordering and the food taking in my opinion— too long — then rarely coming over to check how we were doing and offering more beverages or other. When we did ask for napkins or condiments or extra utensils— goddess it took a good 10-15 minutes — the server writing in my check a suggested 20% tip!
Then today — I visited again hoping not to get the same server. Yay, I thought to myself.
Unfortunately the service was equally slow! I
There must have been two tables on the side I was sitting at and maybe 3-4 on the other side. Again, the server took about 15 minutes to come over and take our order. Then, no condiments in the food plates, another 10 min for them to arrive (although they were part of the order), and then asking for hot sauce another 10-15 min, I was basically done with my food by the time it came.
At least no suggested tip was hand written on the check!
Ok — Not the severs fault, but geez Apple Pay took forever to do! Not sure if we
Will return.

We went to the King of Prussia location. The food and fresh and delicious. Great selection of healthy options. The mocktails were fun and so good. Our server Jimmy was great and took good care of us. I'll definitely be back!

It was our first time dining here. We love healthy restaurants. The guacamole and flatbread was delicious. The expresso martini was good and strong. The spaghetti squash was yummy. The lasagna was delish. Finished off with chocolate chip cookie and vegan vanilla 😋 ice cream. Our waiter Eric was the best.

I wish I would have read all of the other negative reviews before going tonight. Food service and atmosphere were awful. I would rather light my money on fire than dine here again.
