We went here for sushi and had a great meal. Our roles were fresh perfection. The miso soup was delicious and they make very nice salads. The tea had that nice fishy taste like it's supposed to. I am starting to understand Ted Lasso's take on tea. The only problem is they have a guy in the middle of the restaurant whose sole purpose in life is too sell Advils. He starts chopping something as soon as you walk in and doesn't stop the whole time you are there. And the DJ there sucks. In addition to the chopping noise I had to listen to some kind of Umbrella Song that seemed to go on for an hour

So much yum and the shrimp tempura rolls are really good. I would definitely recommend

I been going here for years even when they were across the street. Good food and good service. Today I decided to get delivery. So my food comes mind you I paid online. The guys give me my food and continues to stand at my door and I asked was there anything I needed to sign and he said no. I went to walk away and he said "No tip". I ordered direly off there website and of course there is delivery fees when in most case goes to the driver. I Told him I wasn't sure if I cash on me and continue to stand in my door. I have no issue tipping but when you ask and just stand in my door like I owe you something it just does sit right. Tips are not mandatory. With that being say they have now lost my business.

First time ordering delivery and we were so happy. Ordered the dinner Bento Box which we thought was expensive but we sure got alot of food. The salmon was placed on flavored soba noodles which was unexpected and the usual couple pieces of tempura actually came as a separate side that we really enjoyed. The food was plentiful and tasty - with a decent sized soup and salad included and a full california roll and shumai portion in the box. The piece of salmon was a bit on the smallish side though considering that was the main entree in the box. The real reason this wasn't 5 stars is because the guy who delivered it - kept pointing to the bill wanting me to add a tip to the credit card receipt. It wasn't a delivery service and the guy wasn't a kid - he looked like he could be one of the owners so it was very uncomfortable & caught us off guard. We wound up giving a cash tip. Will definitely order from there again - except maybe will go pickup next time.

The more one eats sushi and sashimi, the more one expects. A large family gathering order... Shintaro's tempura rolls are breaded inside and out...too much for our non raw fish lovers. Cucumber and rice paper wrapped rolls are fresh, light and were enjoyed. Sushi rolls were small constructs of rice with even smaller fish. Sashimi, likewise, smallish pieces. Fish were good but all not super fresh. Miso soup was mainly broth. Perhaps a teas. of mini diced tofu.

This is a one time disappointment. Years of good food and decent service. Tonight they left my wife's sushi rolls out of the bag. They charged me but just forgot to put in the bag. Called as soon as we got home 1/2 a mile. They said they would expedite. Put to the top of the list. One simple roll It's over an hour late and my wife still hasn't had her dinner. Such a disappointment. Just called up and they said it left. Too bad. The true test in the see industry is how you react when challenged. They failed. They just arrived with the missing ship avacado roll but when we opened the bag it was salmon Order 78 strikes again.

Great place, good quality sushi the delivery time was fast and the best part is that the shrimp pad Thai is amazing. My family was very happy.

This is my favorite spot for sushi even at their old location. The food is amazing so is the service....usually. The reason for the loss of two stars is due to the New girls they have answering the phone and giving out pick up orders. their hair was down while touching food to package at the sushi bar, they're fooling around with one another, meanwhile there's A line out the door of people waiting for their pick up orders. working in the food industry I understand that things happen especially when you hire high schoolers however these girls need to be replaced ASAP.

Really disappointed Umi no longer exists, Umi was a great restaurant with great service. Shintaro is back alley sushi that can't even get delivered to the correct address, regardless of how many times you confirm the address with them. Got a call from my neighbor at 8 pm on a Sunday asking if I ordered sushi. In covid times, it's not thrilling that your food has to pass through an extra set of hands before it reaches you. They also don't care about your food allergies, so best of luck. On top of all that, even if you are lucky enough to get your order, the sushi is pretty bad. It's not fresh. It smells. It's unappetizing. If you're considering Shintaro for dinner, expect 7-Eleven sushi, but delivered to your neighbor.

Really nice atmosphere with a lounge vibe to it. Service could definitely be better, can be pretty slow. But the sushi is amazing. Great flavors and super fresh. Drink menu has a ton of variety and they don't rush you out. When the check is dropped you get these cute, complimentary fruity gums that are a nice touch!

Decided to come here on a date with my girlfriend. We were in a mood for sushi & were recommended to this place by her brother. This place was really busy for a Friday night so it took some time for the waiter to take our order. The sushi tasted fresh and was good. The waiters were alright. The vegetable fried rice was good as well. I was content with this place. If you're in the mood for shush & are close by don't hesitate to come.

We've(we as in my wife and close friends) been coming here for years, since it was Umi. At that time it was our favorite sushi spot in our local area. The food was always fresh and delicious, and paired wonderfully with a cold, unfiltered sake. When Shintaro took over we were concerned but luckily there was no need. Many of our favorite items like the dinosaur eggs, and bacon wrapped asparagus, and many unique rolls stayed on the menu. Going out has been difficult during covid but I was pleased to see all the staff was wearing masks and gloves. Today I took my cousin here out for his birthday. My cousin never had good sushi before and his experience was limited to generic spicy salmon roll. I wanted to show him there was more to the story. We started off with Umi sashimi ( sea urchin). I was happy they had some on hand. Its one of my favorites and always fresh here. The look on his face after the first bite said it all. He was in shock and awe at the wonderful flavor and unique texture. We followed the yellow tail jalapeño, bacon wrapped shrimp and asparagus, and Japanese imported oysters topped with jalapeño and special sauce. All the appetizers were equally outstanding in freshness, flavor, and presentation. Each dish was better than the last and he was eager to see what was coming up next. We went with the lobster tempura and a classic spicy salmon next. Once again his mind was blown. He said he'd had spicy salmon before and it never tasted this this fresh, or and the very slight crunch of little bits of tempura flake. It was very balanced texture of between all the ingredients. The lobster tempura roll, c'mon its a no brainer. Perfectly battered lobster tail, avocado, I think some roe and chili topping. It was divine, hit all the right notes. My personal method of sushi is to start with sashimi, get a little heavier with a roll or 2, and then taper back down to a different sashimi. All washed down with a nice cold, unfiltered sake along with a Saporro, or cocktail. Our final round of food was eel sushi and another round of Umi. At this point my cousin who 30 minutes away was taking pictures of the menu so he could come back again. His mind was blown over all the various flavors. He said the 1st round of Umi was a huge surprise in taste and texture, but the 2nd around made him appreciate that much more. He said he finally "got it, why people say the love it and could eat it everyday."All that said the staff was absolutely terrific and friendly. They saw our interests to try new food and would recommend items. I would definitely recommend, especially around lunch time when its not too busy.

This place use to be called UMI right ? As we use to go there about once every couple of months with family and friends and never had any issues. When we picked up our order Saturday July 4 th we were told it is now under new management/owners. All I'm going to say is DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN HIBACHI DINNER!!

Been to their new location 5 times already and each was an excellent experience. Foods are excellent and my favorite is always the mango madness roll. I ordered that every time I was there but I varied my choice of other rolls. I am not a drinker but their bar looks well stocked. The service from the staffs were excellent. Looking forward to my next visit to it soon. Highly recommended
