Just perfect…
Canceled my reservation a week before graduation (that I made a 3 weeks before) because they forgot they booked an event that day. Had a hard time finding a place in the area at such short notice on the day of graduation.
Out of this world prices. 210 for a steak is absolutely insane. The average high end porter house ranges between 140-180. Not sure how they are getting away with calling this place a resort. Its only for the wealthy that isnt very educated on culinary quality. Over cooked lamb ribs and not sure how they charged $14 for french fries. The property is nice but looking up the prices of a tiny cabin to stay in a night i almost threw up in my mouth. This is not nyc its gardiner ny good luck
Absolutely amazing overall. The service is spectacular. Everyone is so warm and friendly. You are made to feel very special. The food was 10/10. We got the mushroom risotto and Asado steak (can’t remember the exact names) but oh my goodness they were sooooo good. Best we’ve ever had. For drink I got the Green Acre, a smokey jalapeño margarita, and it was delicious! The desserts were so good and beautifully decorated with a little chocolate sign that said congratulations. So cute! After dinner we sat by the fire out in the foyer and had another cocktail. It was a perfect anniversary dinner! Definitely coming back.
My husband and I went here today for dinner, for the first time ever. We live locally and were looking for a farm to table experience with a nice view for date night. Firstly, the views did not disappoint. To me, a vibe and views can be just as important as the food—check! He got a cocktail with mezcal and coffee that was delicious, we started with the octopus (excellent!), he ordered the duck and I had the risotto which were both incredible. When I didn’t think it could get any better, we ordered the warm apple cake with miso caramel and tres leches ice cream. Dear baby geebuzz, some of the best dessert I’ve ever had! We love food and as self proclaimed foodies with many hours of Food Network binges under our belts, this scratched that fancy itch. We’ll be back! Thanks for everything!
Already knew the food was going to be amazing when I made the reservation, but the service and staff really took the experience to the next level! Stayed on property to celebrate my first year being cancer free, and have no regrets dining at The Clay. Can’t wait to be back to celebrate many more occasions. Shoutout to Jake, Josh, Khaaliq and Molly for being so warm and personable :)
Would give 10 stars if I could. We were at Wildflower for a staycation and dined at Clay 3 times. Every dish was absolutely meticulously curated and well presented. The staff are all extremely accommodating and would ask for your names and remembers them. We love the salmon tartini on the breakfast menu, the hanger steak and egg dish (must order) on the dinner menu, and the shakshuka on the brunch menu. Would definitely come back.
So definitely ambiance is beautiful!! But the food was just average. The katsu chicken sandwich was below average in my opinion, very bland. The carrot soup was good but I found a little hair in my soup not fun! Over all food could be better.
2/4/2025 My wife and I took friends out to dinner- Hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating to our 1 year old daughter. Service & food were both excellent! After dinner we stayed for a few drinks around the big fire. The bartender Kaden was friendly and knowledgeable on the whiskey collection. We really enjoyed chatting with him! I spoke briefly with the managers up front Antonio and a woman (didn’t catch her name) but they both gave us some great info and got us really excited to come back!
Clay by Wildflower has a great location, and the whole place gives off that farm-to-table but bougie kind of feel. The food is pretty good—fresh and well-made—but you’re definitely paying for the atmosphere as much as the meal. It’s one of those places that looks as good as it tastes.
That said, it’s really expensive. I enjoyed it, but it’s not somewhere I’d go all the time. If you’re in the mood to splurge a little and want a nice setting to go with your meal, it’s worth checking out.

Everything about our experience was 10/10 wow!! Best meal we’ve had in ages! Everything was perfection. Our server Jake really took care of us! Thank you Jake! Amazing can’t wait to come back! All the review I read about it being expensive really weren’t true! We spent $150 for 2 and left very full and satisfied! Yum!!!
Beautiful grounds! Great ambience
Absolutely beautiful setting and food was great, but during a spartan crowd for a Tuesday lunch, the service was rushed and there was so little intuition that it seemed like everyone was on their first day of work. Very strange given the prices.
