Just went for the first time for my boyfriends brother's birthday. I got zaatar salmon and it was very good. Service was good, the apps were good. No complaints.

We truly enjoyed our visit to this German restaurant. The dishes were flavorful and beautifully prepared, and the authentic taste made the experience even more special. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with a pleasant ambiance that made us feel comfortable right away. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
The dessert and drinks were also outstanding, a perfect way to finish our evening. Overall, this restaurant offers excellent food, wonderful service, and a charming atmosphere — we would be happy to come back again!

Excellent, authentic, German food with large portions at a reasonable price in a pleasant, rustic, atmosphere. I had the Jägerschnitzel with potato pancakes instead of the red cabbage and it was delicious. The meal also came with a nice salad and delicious pumpernickel bread and some other kind of bread with caroway seeds - both were incredible. For dessert I had their warm apple strudel. Definitely save room for dessert! Special shout out to our waiter Omar. He was the nicest guy and he definitely enjoyed his job. He was terrific. All restaurants should have such attentive and pleasant waiters!
While the food is delicious, we were disappointed that they changed the recipe for rouladen; they eliminated the pickles!

Had a 3pm reservation and we had a large party. The waiter after taking our drink orders said he was changing shifts so he transfered over to a new waiter. We didnt receive our entrees til 620pm. 3 hours to get our main course was just unacceptable. Seems like it mightve been an off night or short staff. Not sure. Don't think id go back. Very unfortunate.

My daughter and I have been coming here for several years now and right around my birthday and this is always a special treat. First the area is amazing with tons of great trails and hiking and a lake. New Paltz is close by and a quaint town and some wineries and distilleries so lots to do! Best to explore and then come here to end the day. They have a great beer and cider selection with local and German selections. Salad to start. I have the same thing every year with is the pork schnitzel with spaetzle and it’s always awesome - thin and delicious. My daughter is a vegetarian but always finds something good and today was the veggie bratwurst which was really tasty and lots of veggies - tasted like an actual meat dish. Had the 9 layer honey cake which was beyond belief and a schnapps. The service is always excellent, and so friendly! Our waitress really made my birthday very special and I look forward to coming here again.
