enjoy the atmosphere, and friendship. the food is excellent.
Friday night dinner was excellent. The broiled fish was perfectly done and seasoned well. I chose a salad to substitute for fries. The salad was large, thankfully made with spring greens and presented beautifully with the vegetables arranged around the outside. I appreciate this extra touch! My husband's pork chops were delicious and were accompanied by tasty broccoli. Our server was attentive. We are so happy the inn has reopened. There is no place quite like it. We'll be back.

Great place for family and friends to share a meal. Tastefully decorated, charming, quiet ambience. Food is excellent and wait staff are great.
Walkability: Located within the historic walking area in Village of Geneseo. They have a wheelchair accessible ramp that my 92 year old mom was able to navigate by herself with her motorized wheelchair.
Food and drinks: Food was delicious and they offer a variety of options including daily specials and soups. We had 9 people in our party for lunch and everyone enjoyed their meal and the ambience. Wait staff are excellent!!

Cool old spot …I grew up coming to this place. We used to sneak upstairs while our parents were eating dinner. Just realized it opened back up again and stopped in to defrost and grab a bite. Sat at the bar. Place is pretty full. Mostly older clientele. Prices are ok. Food looks ok. My plate was packed, had to deconstruct it in order to start eating .I had the fish sandwich. It was served on a burnt brioche bun. The coleslaw was one big piece of mayonnaise drizzled red cabbage. Fries were undercooked. Fish wasn’t bad. Construction of the sandwich itself was strange… a few big leaves of lettuce, two tiny slices of tomato and two slices of dill pickle. They were busy so I didn’t bother to complain. Bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed. Christmas music ultimately drove me out the door. It’s freaking exhausting…everywhere this time of year. WHY does everyone feel the need to play this shit?

Friendly service, attention to detail, fantastic food flavors, creative cocktails, accommodated my food allergy, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
This is a very nice inn in a quaint little town. I was here on business - visiting places that have some pretty cool ghost stories. We stayed for lunch, not overnight, so I cannot comment on the rooms. Specialty salads that day were delicious, enjoyed them very much. I'd love to go back and experience the rooms/bath - maybe soon! Staff was very friendly, inn is extremely welcoming. If you are in the area, it is well worth a visit! Lots of history which I loved learning about.

Stopped by during over SUNY Geneseo's reunion weekend June 8, 2024. It still looks grand, but it is still closed and there is a huge sign in" front that its "available", whatever that means. It doesn't say "for sale". Their Facebook page has been updated in years... the webpage is dead. So sad to see this long time institution of fine dining closed.

It was okay; had my prom date there for a dinner and it wasn’t the best.... would go again just to see if it was okay.Might help if it was ever open for business.
A perfect little place to spend the night! My husband & I came too late for dinner, but the room was VERY comfortable, as was the huge tub! I definitely plan on making a return trip!
Very nice historic Hotel and tavern
