Visited for lunch with family after hiking around Letchworth all afternoon. My dad said this was the best burger he has eaten in the entire United States. Will definitely be back!
Superb food and fantastic service.
Went for dinner or server Hannah was awesome food was great as well as the bourbon
We stayed at the Big Tree for three nights and had drinks and dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious- fun appetizers and great portions for entrees. The room was cozy with historic charm and modern amenities. Staff was lovely and accommodating, we will be back!!
This place is beautiful. Our waitress was very nice and did a great job. I did not like the food.
We made reservations for an early dinner at the Big Tree Inn on Saturday before we went to a show at the Riviera. It was our first visit to both. We did not stay in the rooms.
The Inn is a quaint look back at the past. You could almost hear the horse and buggy pull up. It has been modernized just enough for our 21st century sensibilities to be comfortable. Since we were early we had the dining room to ourselves and it felt very colonial. The staff were fantastic. The food was great too. The chef obviously has a strong New Orleans influence. My jambalaya balls and shrimp etouffe were very authentic.
Well worth the drive from Rochester. We shall return.
Steak was tough grizzly couldn’t eat it Service was terrible orders were mixed up , broken beer glass we didn’t notice they didn’t notice . Was told not to put cheese on salad they did not listen
This is just a review of the restaurant. We had supper in the Tavern. The red pepper soup was creamy & delicious. Entree was a lobster roll with REAL lobster claws & chunks of meaty lobster. The atmosphere was great and waitstaff worked as a team.
Reviewing the restaurant…. Just time back for dinner since it has reopened recently. The tavern is full a great room for drinks and dinner. The rest of the restaurant still feels dated. The menu has some unique items you don’t find at many places, which is great for something different alongside several staples on the menu.
The food was excellent. Fresh, well prepared, and even the prices were surprisingly good. The service was slow. The two bartenders were distracted by a not so crowded bar and a light, stay stream of drunk orders from the dining rooms. Seemed like most of the servers were still new and that contributed to the slowness. Or maybe they were short servers?
But the food was excellent and the prices were good. We’ll be back, hopefully there’ll tighten up the service.
Very nice place and excellent food

I recently worked with April at the Big Tree Inn in Geneseo, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The venue is full of historic charm and has so much character—perfect for capturing elegant, timeless photos. April was fantastic to work with! I’ve known her since she managed another local wedding venue, and her professionalism and warm personality continue to shine. Her communication throughout the planning process was seamless, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. I’d absolutely recommend the Big Tree Inn to couples looking for a beautiful and supportive space to bring their vision to life.
Friendly staff...large room with a nice jacuzzi tub...great location...a little more expensive than other resorts...but it was convenient fir what we needed

The food is excellent, service outstanding and the prices are very reasonable. A great place for lunch or dinner or meet a friend of a drink.
