As a Western New Yorker now living in Florida, I can confidently say finding good pizza and wings down here is near impossible. When I visited Amherst Pizza and Ale House, it was like coming home. The pizza was spot on, and the wings, especially the charred BBQ, were fantastic. I loved everything about it. My fiancé, who's from Philly, wasn't as impressed, but let's be real. I've never had great experiences at this restaurant, but neither have I had horrible ones either. It's an okay place that gets busy at times, and the service suffers for it. On my last visit, my friend had to stand up and wave his arms to get another beer. The waitress was pleasant but obviously overwhelmed. The food was decent. I was surprised at the portion size. Everything coming out of the kitchen was HUGE! I end up at this place a few times a year.
