Pio Pio sauce and the mystery of it
What a shame that a place where you expect to have a wonderful time and even more so if it is a Peruvian restaurant, a Venezuelan waiter and it is not discrimination, spoils your night with such terrible service, if you want to keep that place, change that unpleasant man, We customers deserve respect and empathy, and another thing is that chicken is getting smaller and smaller and is not the flavor we know.

It was unfortunate what happened in this restaurant, it was reserved a month in advance for my uncle's 80th birthday, we were around 20 people, they put us on separate tables (which was understandable due to the space) but the attention of the waiter, a boy of nationality The Venezuelan woman was pressuring us all the time to order when we were waiting for the birthday, second, the whole time she was unpleasant in her attitude towards all of us, at no time did we feel well cared for and the food was horrible, I had already eaten there and I don't know if it was the experience with this waiter but today he totally disappointed me, he practically threw the cake on the other table where the birthday boy was not. How unpleasant to see that not even the manager could even get close. In the end the waiter demanded the amount that appears on the tip receipt, honestly not even 1 dollar would have left him. I wish I knew this individual's name so I could put it here. Finally never again

Definitely more convenient coming to this location rather than driving down to Jackson Heights. It’s also very easy to find parking around the neighborhood so no need for valet parking. Always get the Jalea, Matador combo and some ceviche. The ceviche is a must or their mussels.
Kids always have a good time! And don’t forget the Sangria!!

We had high hopes for Pio Pio in Glen Cove, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations.
We started with the empanadas and papa a la huancaina. The empanadas tasted as if they were precooked earlier that day. They were inconsistently heated, with some parts lukewarm and others cold. The papas a la huancaina were bland and needed more seasoning. The creamy cheese sauce—usually the star of this dish—was flavorless.
For the main course, we ordered the “Matador,” which was another letdown. Aside from the hotdogs from the salchipapas and chicken—which was well seasoned and flavorful— everything else was either room temperature or cold. The rice and beans lacked flavor. The tostones were hard, dry, and cold. The fries of the salchipapas were cold and limp, lacking any crispness or freshness. Given the speed at which the food was served to us, It felt like many of the items were not made when ordered but had been prepared earlier that day and reheated to lukewarm temperatures when ordered by the diners.
On a brighter note, the desserts, flan and tres leches, were excellent, and the service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is modern and beautifully designed, though it can get quite loud, making conversation difficult. I am not sure about returning to this Pio Pio location any time soon.

Call this restaurant they start talking in Spanish. I said I don't speak in Spanish and they say this is Spanish restaurant so we speak in Spanish so I told them do not open Spanish restaurant in American neighborhood. I hang up the phone don't support this restaurant.

The piriguela soup lacked more squid.
The jelly was good, but the best peep peep is the Queens.

Always a great place. The Sangria is excellent, and, while a bit pricey, you can't beat the Mataor platter. Really a fantastic spot.

The food was very good. They can get a bit stingy when it comes to alcohol & had me waiting for quite some time to get the second round of water.

Ive frequented pio pio throughout the years dating back to the woodhaven location. The new spot atmosphere is comforting and pleasing. Not as big as the Northern blvd spot but maintains an appealing place to host a get together. I recognized one of the mgrs from the old spots and he was very kind and genuine! Food came out quickly and plen
tiful. Would def recommend and looking fwd to trying their expanded menu!

Lemon ceviche is delicious with side of hot sauce. Camorones Cuzco was a good dish as well.
