Staff incredibly rude. They don't listen to details, ordered 2 items waited 25 minutes and they yessed us and forgot 2nd item. Did not apologize, 34 dollars, never gave us receipt. Arrogant

Southdown Coffee in Glen Cove is one of my favorite local spots. The coffee is consistently great — smooth, well-balanced, and just what I need to start the day. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which adds to the cozy atmosphere.
It’s also a perfect place to study or get work done. You’ll often see med and vet students here with their laptops and textbooks, which gives it a quiet, focused vibe. Comfortable seating, good lighting, and great coffee — what more could you ask for?
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid cup of coffee and a chill spot to be productive.

I'm sick of coming here buying an expensive coffee and pastry then sitting down to work and the Wi-Fi never works. Then you asked the staff whats up w the Wi-Fi and they are clueless. Stop offering WiFi if it never works. (response to owner) I in fact asked several people with laptops if the wifi was working before I confronted the staff, most of them told me they were using hotspots. I don't mind trying the wifi again the next time i'm in the area. However, you should be aware i didn't post this after a single experience, this was probably the 3rd time it happened in sequence covering 2-3 months when I was in the area. If the situation is resolved in the future I don't mind deleting or reversing the review.

Southdown Coffee is my favorite coffee shop on LI. The quality of the coffee, friendly staff and beautiful shops all keep me coming back. I don’t live very close to any of their locations but love to begin a weekend at Glen Cove or Oyster Bay (expanding soon). Northport and Patchogue are also inviting spots. I recommend trying their Hot Oatmeal, Little English, Avo Toast, Grilled Cheese Avo Pesto, fresh Baked scones, bread, muffins etc. ALL are delish!

I was treated very rudely by the manager (Steph) of this coffee shop. She was nasty and impatient with me. The food and coffee are ok, but the atmosphere is awful.

Been here a few times now. The smell of roasted coffee welcomes you in the parking lot itself. Very good coffee. They also have ample seating space inside to work as well.
If you want WiFi that doesn’t work and small tables to eat mediocre food this is the place! Came here to get some studying done, hard to get a table and when I did the internet was not working at all. Will not be coming back

My biggest complaint: There is a serious lack of outlets. It's a huge dining room, with only two outlets in one corner, and seating is not optimized in such a way that multiple parties can make use of the outlets.
Second complaint: I spent $9 on a breakfast sandwich and was shocked at how tiny it was when it arrived. About three bites worth of food, max four.
I was hoping to 1) have a good breakfast and 2) get some work done while my car is in the shop next door.
Southdown Coffee couldn't satisfy either of my needs.
I won't be returning.
