Our family has been going to St. Rocco’s for years- and we’ve never had anything we didn’t like! Cannolis from St. Rocco’s have become a well-loved tradition throughout the generations. Their current location is beautiful. So many options to pick from. Even their lunch items/breads are consistently wonderful. Naturally when my aunt retired this past weekend we knew exactly where the cake came from… my husband and kids are STILL talking about how good it was!

Vegetarian options: I had a hefty slice of Sicilian pizza with a cafe latte and we bought an almond croissant. All were fresh and delicious and of superb quality. Nice staff. And the Italian ambiance and desserts were breathtaking.

The sandwiches and buffet style food are great for lunch. The cakes and pastries are always great. I even ordered a couple different cakes for my wedding celebration. love the cannoli cake! When it gets busy the lines are a bit disorganized but doesn't stop me from visiting and trying something new.

I always make the extra effort to stop by St. Rocco's Bakery whenever I'm in town. Everything they bake, especially the large assortment of breads and pastries, is absolutely magnificent and made with a lot of love! July happens to be the best month of the year when you can enjoy both the bakery and the Annual Feast of St. Rocco. Glen Cove is so lucky to have this local gem!
The pastries at St. Rocco's are delicious but DO NOT ORDER A CUSTOM CAKE FROM THEM! I ordered a cake for my daughter's bridal shower from them and was very disappointed. When I ordered the cake, I gave them the invitation from the shower for decorating ideas. The day of the shower my husband went to pick up the cake and waited for over 30 minutes. The cake was supposed to say She's Tying the Knot and instead it said She's Trying the Knot. They tried fixing it but it came out looking like a 7 year old decorated the cake. Since time was of the essence, my husband took the cake. But when I saw the cake at the shower, I was totally embarassed. I had such high hopes getting the cake from St. Rocco's but I would have been better off just picking up a cake from Costco which would have looked better than what I served.
I reached out to St. Rocco's to express my disappointment and received an email back saying "how could they make it right" which I replied "at the very least a gift card would be appreciated." Never heard back.
When you have a special occasion, you custom order a cake because you want to add to the experience. So when you are disappointed and embarassed by it, it could ruin the day. :(
